Pet care experience
Dogs have been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. Doggies of all ages, breeds, and sizes have always made part of my heart say “awww”. I currently have one fur baby, her name is Gracie and she is a 2 year old golden retriever. We go on walks, trips to the dog park, car rides, swimming, and dog dates with friends dogs as often as possible. As much as we want to spend every moment with our pets I know that in today’s world it is inevitable that your dog(s) will be home alone for lengthy periods of time, but that’s where I come in! See, Gracie has isolation distress. I have first hand experience of the effects that leaving her home alone or getting little to no exercise has on her. I am aware of the importance of daily exercise, mental stimulation, and the presence of a human to drastically decrease destructive chewing or other undesired behaviors (such as inappropriate urinating/defecating, barking, whining, pacing, etc.) as a result of boredom, separation anxiety, or isolation distress. I offer flexible hours for walks or drop-in visits on weekends, weekdays, and holidays to ensure your pooch gets all the stimulating attention he (or she) needs!
Reviews
Katherine always provides amazing care for our cat Dexter. I always feel like our pet is in great hands with her. She always sends pictures which is great too!
I wouldn’t feel right without alerting people. Unfortunately, I trusted Katherine for several days. Then, one day, I asked her for a last minute “drop in” visit. She sent a pic of the trash that my dog got into. I have a camera in the kitchen (that she was aware of) bc he used to get into the freezer. I decided to review the footage of him getting into trouble when I came across her entering. She put her hands up, refusing to touch him. She flung the canned food into his dry, then placed the dirty spoon back into my drawer, but the heartbreaking part: she needed a pic for Rover and kept telling him to sit (not stay or hold) so when she went to take pic, he would get up and come to her. She was frustrated and kept demanding he sit. My dog was confused and started offering all kinds of behaviors including his paw. She seems to not even like dogs. I can’t believe I left her with my dog for dats straight.
Katherine was AMAZING! sent us great pictures and made sure our cats were well taken care of. Will ask for her assistance again soon!
Katherine was a real hit with my cats! Charlie took her medicine and that’s a tough job sometimes. We really felt comfortable going away with Katherine taking care of the cats and she watered the garden, took care of the trash and mail as well!
