Looking for a trustworthy walker?
Pet care experience
When my family goes it of town, I am the first one they contact to care for their cats and dogs. I follow their feeding schedule, take them to the dog park, spend the day with them, and of course go on walks. In high school I was in charge of caring for all of the critters we had in our Animal Science class. They ranged from chickens, to fish, reptiles, and small mammals. I have three pets of my own, a kitty named Kodak, a dog named Draco, and a bunny named Hercules. They are definitely spoiled, and I strive to give them the best life that I can. In college, I was on the Varsity Hunt Seat league and was responsible for caring for our own horse assigned to each of us. I also worked at PetSmart caring for the animals there too. As you can see, I have a broad knowledge and experience in caring for critters of all shapes and sizes.
About Katelynn D.
Skills
Safety, trust & environment
While walking dogs, they remain on a leash at all times. In the warmer months, I carry a bag with snacks and water for the both of us. I will not approach other dogs unless given the OK by the other owner and yourself. I would love to take dogs to the dog park as well, as long as I get permission. As far as the walking environment goes, a block or two around the neighborhood is always fun, but I prefer walking trails at parks such as Potato Creek, the River Walk, Rum Village, and those alike. Lastly, no “human treats” are given to any dogs, cats, etc. under my care no matter the circumstance.
Information Katelynn D. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your fur baby is not a social fella so we can skip the dog park, and let me know if he/she has any food or other allergies that I should know about.
A typical day
My dog, and others that I walk/watch can be found with me at PetSmart after a good walk so can pick out their very own toy and treats. Being socially engaged and mentally stimulated is very important for social dogs. They also enjoy the dog park and would love to have another friend to tag along!
Services
Katelynn can watch in your home
Availability
I am able to do Drop-Ins and Walks Mon-Friday after 5pm and any time on the Sunday and Saturday. If a morning time needs to be arranged, we can discuss.
