Pet care experience
I am a small business owner and a nationally certified pharmacy technician, with training in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) & Basic Life Support (BLS). I have my Canine & Feline CPR and First Aid certification through the Pet Emergency Academy. I feel that my unique experience and training qualifies me to care for both people and animals in many capacities. I have always loved animals and my family had quite the roster of pets & rescues, including temporarily fostering a mama raccoon and her babies once! I am comfortable with pets of any size or species, even scaly or feathery ones. I have my own three SPOILED animals; a 50lb cattle dog mix, a 40lb Aussie/Husky mix, and a 7lb kitty that definitely rules the house. I'm very fortunate to own a pet spa that is attached to my home. I keep all of my grooming clients separated from my boarding clients for safety reasons, and I never leave dogs from different households alone together.
Reviews
Katelyn was fantastic! She’s a great communicator and you can tell she really cares about your animals and their needs. She did a wonderful job with my dog, cat, and lizard, they were very well cared for. I felt very secure and relieved that she cared for my pets while I was away, and I would absolutely hire her again. Thank you Katelyn!
My baby was taken very good care of. I am very happy with Katelyn and will be using her again. She kept me posted on how Hazel was doing during the time she had her.
Katelyn is awesome!! Her love for fur babies is all over her! I will love to have her as constant sitter and groomer. ❤️
Katelyn was great. Petey stayed for 8 days and had a wonderful time with Katelyn and her family. He ate well, was bathed and looked perfect when I picked him up. He had a hard time saying bye!! Thank you!’

Our property spans an acre and a half, and our fenced yard is about 2,000sqft. Weather permitting, you'll find me in the back yard or on the porch with my dogs. Weather not permitting (aka any temperature below 40 degrees, lol) my furry fam and I will be in the heated sunroom or our den playing fetch or fighting over the best spot on the sofa.

Information Katelyn C. would like to know about your pet
Every pet is a unique individual and should be treated as such; therefore I don't restrict by breed or based upon a pet's genetics. However, I am not able to accept dogs for boarding/daycare that have a bite history towards other dogs due to my grooming establishment being on the same premises as my home.
A typical day
Very unpopular opinion, but I love cardio! My partner and I walk a couple miles a day with our two extremely high-energy dogs. We regularly play fetch in the yard or in our sunroom/den if it's raining. I also have snuffle mats, slow feeders, and treat games to provide mental stimulation.

Availability
Pet care is literally my livelihood! My grooming hours are 9AM-4PM, Tues-Saturday, but I schedule gaps between my appointments to be able to go check on my pups. Plus I get to take my lunch break with dogs every day!
