Karlie stayed at our house with our dog during our honeymoon. We returned to a house that was at least as clean as we'd left it. Karlie was responsive to messages and handled an issue with our door handle breaking well - despite our very limited connectivity while away. Our dog seemed happy and was healthy when we returned. I am, however, very concerned about the number of walks he likely went on during the 8 days we were gone and the time that Karlie left our house. In our tiny 10' x 10' plot of grass I found 16 non-picked up dog poos, which means he must have had virtually every bathroom break in the backyard. We live in an area of town where Karlie might not have felt comfortable going out in the evenings with Argos, which I totally understand but the quantity of poo led me to check our security camera, which confirmed he'd been outside for a walk ONCE for a ONLY 4 MINUTES in the 3 days worth of videos I reviewed. As a caveat, it is possible but not probable that some trips outside may not have been picked-up by the camera... If the issue had been that she was not comfortable with the neighborhood and therefore did not want to go outside or that our dog was too much of a handful on a walk (he has occasional leash aggression - which varies by who is walking him), I wish she would have said something at our meet and greet, or mentioned it in a message to us so we could have figured out how to get him the exercise he needed with a neighbor or something. Regardless of the situation surrounding his exercise, I know that Karlie left our house and dog several hours before our agreed upon time, which we confirmed with her the day of our flight home and she agreed to. Again, if she had told us she did not want to stay until the time we'd discussed we could have asked a neighbor for help - instead our dog spent 7 hours stuck in the house after only ~2ish hours of people-time after she'd gotten back from a day's work. We will not be contacting Karlie again.
