Pet care experience
I've had several cats in my life as well as a sweet dog who lived to be 16. After she passed we didn't want another dog, but still wanted them in our lives. Having been with Rover for 7 years now, our family has hosted many wonderful dogs but we feel it's time for a change. For the foreseeable future we will be closing our boarding services and now focus on sitting in your home and doing occasional drop-ins.

We sadly had to send our sweet boi Murray over the Rainbow Bridge last July and thought he would be the end of our pet-owning days, until this December, when we felt compelled to add a new kitty to our family. It was without question that Karen would be his caretaker and luckily, she was more than happy to take on our newest family member. He was very skittish due to former experiences and Karen was more than patient and kind, and they were fast friends in no time. Karen is the most wonderful choice to care for pets, homes and families' peace of mind. We are beyond lucky and thrilled to have her on our team.
Karen has dog-sat for our 3 dogs at our house several times, and she's simply amazing! All of our dogs are seniors and are on various medications, but she's always so great at keeping on top of things. I would love to give her 5 stars, but we're slightly disappointed that she has requested not to dog-sit for us anymore, as 3 dogs has become a little much for her. I don't blame her, as it's a lot for me sometimes! I would highly recommend her as a dog-sitter for someone who owns fewer dogs, though.

I will follow their usual routine so they know what to expect during the day. Your pet won't be left alone unless prior permission is given. I can also water plants, bring in mail if needed and will leave your home as I found it.

Please let me know of any allergies your pets have along with behaviors or conditions. The more I know, the better I'm able to care for your pet the way you do. I love walking dogs but they must be leash trained with NO excessive pulling. Due to allergies I prefer to stay in a non-smoking home.
A typical day
After breakfast and depending on a dog's energy level we can either play in the back yard or take a walk. For kitties, lots of play and love is available. I love just hanging out with pets either at my feet or by my side on the couch; that's what makes a house a home :) I enjoy taking pictures to update families about what their pet has been up to.

Availability
I (Karen) will be doing all of the sitting and don't have an outside job so will be able to spend as much time at your home as needed. I can be available for either two nights or two weeks.
