My name is Kara. I've always been an animal lover and grew up with golden retrievers. I'm more likely to greet a stranger on four legs then two. Then again, the average dog is considerably more friendly then the average person. My philosophy on watching dogs is that they should be treated with extra loving kindness, and receive lots of outdoor time. Each dog has different needs and idiosyncrasies. I favor strong communication between pet owners and myself as a method for making sure all humans and dogs are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. About this sitter: I recently relocated to Michigan City from Boston, Massachusetts. I'm excited at the opportunity to meet pups in the neighborhood and help my neighbors make sure their pets get the all the exercise and attention they would like. Meet my pets N/A

I'm always nervous to leave Oscar with people he doesn't know very well but Kara kept me looped in throughout the week which ensured that he was in good hands. She even followed up after his stay to see how he was doing. It's clear that they created a nice bond. I won't hesitate in leaving Oscar with Kara again!
Kara was very sweet with my dog Sofia. She was also flexible and accommodating when I needed to change last minute drop off time. Will be happy to leave my dog at her place again in the future.
Kara was very easy to communicate with before and during my dog's stay. My dog can be nervous meeting new people, but she warmed right up to Kara! At the end of her stay at Kara's, my dog seemed well cared for and tired from her outings with Kara. A success!
Kara was a fabulous companion and sitter for my dog Sophie when I went away for a week. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with her and I received constant updates and adorable photos throughout my trip. It was clear that she truly cared for her as if she was her own. My pup had a fantastic time with her and I plan on reaching out to her the next time I am going away!

A typical day
Lake shore drive is always a nice place to start a walk, depending on which neighborhood you live in. I typically walk anywhere from 2-6 miles depending on your dogs size, age and activity level. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Wherever they please, unless you prefer they sleep in their crate or on the floor. Dogs are allow on the furniture in my home, unless you specify otherwise. Time I'll spend with your dog As much time as possible.
