Cat lover looking to share the love
Pet care experience
Hello! I have been pet sitting for a little over three years. I have experience with dogs and cats, though I prefer to sit for kitties these days. I have worked in vet medicine as an assistant for the past 3 years as well, so I am comfortable giving medication. I have watched 3-5 pets so far that needed medication and I was able to give it to them without an issue. These medications included pills and insulin shots.
Reviews
I have known Kaitlyn for over 4 years now. We previously worked at a veterinary clinic together and she has been nothing short of a fantastic person and animal lover. Her love and care for animals runs deep as she has had animals her whole and wanted to continue her love by working in a veterinary clinic to expand her knowledge and further educate clients. I have seen her in a work setting and outside setting. She is very responsible and I trust her with my own pets. She has taken care of my 2 dogs, 2 cats, and hedgehog. As someone who is currently in veterinary school, I would trust her with my pets life and would personally hire her to work for me.

Safety, trust & environment
At home, I have two cats of my own. One cat is 13 years old and the other is 1.5 years old. My 13yr old cat requires pain medication in the liquid form, so I am experienced giving that. I do not allow pets outside at my house because I live on a semi-busy street. However, being a vet assistant has taught me a lot about walking pets on a leash safely. I also like to be outside with pets if/when they are let out.

Information Kaitlyn C. would like to know about your pet
It is very important to know your pet's fears. If I am taking your dog on a walk, I NEED to know if they are aggressive to any other dogs, any specific gender, any specific race (some dogs ARE triggered by race, though it is rare. For what it is worth, race does not matter to me), etc. If your dog requires medication, I need to know the best way to administer and what will produce the most positive experience between me and your pet. If I am watching your cat, I need to know what scares them easily. Are they okay with loud noises? Do they like to be pet? How should I go about giving medication (if necessary)?
A typical day
I would take them on walks near your local park, if that was something you are comfortable with. I also love to play fetch, especially if you have one of those "ChuckIt" toys for balls. What I love to do most with animals I watch it snuggle them (if they like it). I think they can feel really lonely and scared when their owners are gone, so I love to let them know that I love them and I will care for them.

Availability
I am currently working full time (Monday-Friday 7:00-5:00). However, I work from home on Fridays so my availability is a little looser that day. Typically, my weekends are open for any times to sit. I prefer to house sit along with pet sitting so I can make sure to give your pets the fullest attention they need.
