I've had dogs for most of my life and began training them about thirteen years ago. I've trained service animals to perform various tasks like opening doors and work with a therapy dog doing hospital visits. The best method I've found for caring for animals is pure compassion and persistence. I never yell or use intimidation. Positive reinforcement builds trust and trust leads to learning. I am happy to work with puppies to help learn potty etiquette while you're away at work, or to build simple manners like walking on a leash. Moreover I would be most excited to build a relationship with your dog with simple walks around the neighborhood. Each walk comes with an abundance of praise and petting and of course treats if allowed.
