Pet care experience
**Please read this entire profile before scheduling an appointment.** My mission is to provide a safe space for the best dogs in Austin to play and relax. The space I hold for the dogs is an indoor/outdoor room that opens up to a secure, fenced-in backyard with some large trees that provide shade where the dogs are afforded plenty of room to play. This is only a good choice if you are looking for a place for your dog to hang out with other dogs in a free-range, cage-free, home environment that reinforces healthy boundaries in an indoor and outdoor space to play and rest. Daycare is M-F 8:00am-6:00pm. - Single day = $45 - 2+ days per week = $35/day Dogs must attend daycare before boarding. Find me on Instagram @updog_atx or online (updogatx dot com) *** If you are boarding and are unable to pickup your dog by noon, a standard day care rate will be applied to your stay.
Reviews
My dog had a great time at daycare with Josh. Lots of great playtime!
I'm SO happy we found Josh! We've never boarded our dog before because he has a medical condition that requires medication & it made me anxious to leave him. But when I met Josh for a "trial run" day, any nerves were instantly soothed. Our dog stayed with him for 2 weeks & had the best time (I kind of think he didn't want to come home!). I was able to relax on our vacation, confident that all was well. I highly recommend Josh for daycare/boarding. You & your pet will love him.
Josh was very communicative and the pups enjoyed their day of daycare. Thanks, Josh!
Always a great person to watch my pup

It is with great intention and love that I receive dogs into the space that we share. The energy I hold in the space for the dogs is as indescribable as my ability to communicate and connect with dogs. This translates to healthy boundaries allowing all the dogs to use the space no matter their size, age, energy, or excitement level. This enables the dogs the opportunity to run and play as well as relax and rest. Most people describe their relationship with their dog after daycare as increased peace.

FAQ: Do you accept puppies? While I do love puppies, I am not currently taking any dogs under one year of age. The energy that puppies bring to the group can, at times, overwhelm the peacefulness that I am cultivating. What happens in the case of rain? Daycare continues whether rain or shine. The space that I hold for the dogs has both an indoor and outdoor area. When the rain comes, some dogs don’t let that stop them from playing while others prefer to stay indoors where it is dry. Both options are available. How many dogs are usually at daycare? It is difficult to predict the number of dogs that will be at daycare on any given day due to the nature of individual schedules. There are usually somewhere between three and seven dogs. What do the dogs do all day? Most dogs oscillate between playing and resting. The morning is usually filled with the longest stretch of play. That is followed by some resting and relaxation. Those that feel regenerated will continue this pattern. Some dogs just prefer to walk the yard alone or to stay right underfoot. Each dog gets to choose their level of involvement with play.

I believe our pets should add value to our lives, but our lives shouldn’t have to go on pause for our pets. I started this service to enable dog owners the opportunity to work, travel, and play while knowing their beloved pets are being cared for in a home environment by someone who loves them as much as you do.
