Pet care experience
Hi! My name is Joe, I’m a retired army veteran that adores animals. I’ve been doing rover now for about a year and have all different types situations that I’ve been part of. Everything from pets with upset stomachs, walking in the rain, plans changing, etc. I’ve adapted to all of them and ensured that all of my clients needs have been met(it’s why I have a 5 star rating lol). I’ve been blessed to be able to have a dog in my life since I was in grade school. I love taking walks with my 2 dogs bacon (Pug) & cupcake (Shih Tzu).

Working with Joe was great. He's friendly, down to earth, and responded quickly. Joe was even able to pick up an extra visit when my departure time was bumped to an earlier time. We were able to troubleshoot issues with the security system quickly and my furry kiddos were safe, happy, and healthy when I arrived home. Overall, great experience. Thanks Joe!

I live in a house with a small backyard, though it’s big enough for my 2 little ones. My wife and I wanted to get bigger dogs but I didn’t feel great about them not having enough room to play. My dogs are definitely inside dogs and spoiled! (not overweight, but spoiled with love) I ensure that their areas are kept clean and free of anything that could harm them. I don’t mind most kinds of brushing, minor hair trimming, or bathing. Nails are a different story lol. Any needs that your dog requires no matter how minor I will gladly accomplish.

I like to know as much as possible about your dogs habits, play time, physical ability, quirks, favorite spots to hide, potty areas, and commands. I think knowing how you speak to your dog is very important because I want them to feel comfortable with me.
A typical day
The fun activities that I like to do with dogs are always different depending on the dog. With my pug he has a favorite bear that we play fetch with, but my shih tzu is older and she like to relax a little more and generally get talked to. Both enjoy walks but again bacon (pug) likes to walk fast and stop at just about every tree, while cupcake (my old lady) can only go on shorter walks and prefers to just walk. Either way I try to figure out what &how they like to play and go with that.

I’m currently a stay at home dad that has a good amount of free time. I’m very flexible and adaptable to any needs that you may have for you or your fur baby. (20 years in the Army will do that lol)
