Doggy retreat...yard, walks, fetch
Pet care experience
Emily and I always enjoy having dogs around the house. We both grew up with family dogs, but we don't have our own yet due to our frequent moves. We live in a great neighborhood for walks/runs and have a fenced yard that your dog will love. Due to some past damage, we only accept crate-trained dogs and will crate for short periods when we leave the house. We also have two cats. They have experience around dogs, but normally keep separate and find a place in the basement or under a bed to hide. We only host one family's dog(s) at a time so your pet is guaranteed attention. We provide an indoors XL crate or you can bring yours. Otherwise, I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend!
Reviews
My dog looked so well adjusted in their home. I appreciated the near daily photo updates. I hope they are available next time I need a sitter!
John was really attentive to Bacon's health risks (eg temperature sensitive, bloat) and goals for her behavior (no jumping, no leash pulling). I appreciated the balance between giving her a new learning environment and reinforcing good dog manners. Bacon was obviously well cared for given she was calm when I returned and not clingy the next day. Thank you!
Fantastic care providers and excellent communication.
They took great care of our goldendoodle, Ruby. John is friendly, responsive and flexible!

I have a fenced yard, which is great for short potty breaks. Otherwise, we live in a safe, quiet neighborhood for walks. Crating allows us to build trust with your pet.

Information John D. would like to know about your pet
Your dog needs to be crate trained. Its also handy if you've filled out your care instructions or write out the basics (like feeding amounts, schedules, any commands or rules we need to reinforce, etc).
A typical day
We've got a great neighborhood with a few wooded "trails" between streets that most dogs love. For longer stays and with the owner's permission, we will sometimes find a local hike or park to visit.

Availability
Based on our current work schedules, we will only need to crate at most for 3-4 hours on weekdays. On weekends, we will get out to eat and run errands, but again would only crate for short blocks of time.
