Professional Sitter, Fun Garaunteed

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Jessica. I'm a part time certified veterinary assistant and professional pet sitter for many years! I graduated from Ross in 2016 with my diploma for Veterinary Assisting because of my lifelong love for animals. I've always wanted to do more than just play with puppies and kittens, but also be able to help those who need it. Whether your pet is a normal happy go lucky gal or pal, or older, even special needs pet, I am fully confident and trained in helping them have the best time while their pet parents are away. I myself have three dogs, a border collie and two 2 yr old mixed breeds who are all so different with so many different needs. Working at a veterinary hospital for the past 3 and a half years has given me the opportunity to meet pets of all shapes and sizes with all different needs, and personalities. I always find it fun to test a new friend's knowledge and see what tricks he knows, or how fast we can learn new ones, or think up new ones. I know my babies have gotten some tricks down so fast that it was me who was stumped on what to teach them next! I love to keep a dog's mind working, and they are always surprising me with what they end up teaching me instead. Of course, I want to know about your dog, and his or her favorite things to do, and if you'd like to come home and see a new trick I would love to let him or her surprise you with one... or just tell you how great of a belly scratcher I am! About this sitter: Hello! My name is Jes, and I am a dog lover above all else. I have grown up with dogs (and other pets my entire life) and am a complete animal lover. With me your pet will get the exorcize, stimulation, lots of love and cuddles, and of course PLAY TIME that he/she (and I) enjoy so much. :) I'm experienced with administering medicines of all kinds, special needs pets, phobias, and also trained to notice when your pet might not be feeling their best. I love to give lots of updates by taking lots of pictures and letting pet parents know as much as possible about the time we've spent together so that you don't feel like you're missing out or wondering what your baby is doing. I treat every pet as if they're my own, with utmost care and attention. Why I love dog sitting My entire life I have been a dog lover. I spent hours on my aunts farm with all sorts of animals, cats, horses, goats, and four dogs that I would run around with all day. Since I was born I've always had a dog or cat (or many!) by my side, and love my pets like children. Their happiness and health is a main concern of mine. Meet my pets We have the wise guy of our family, a 5 year old border collie/lab mix who has the funniest sense of humor. His name is Toby, or "tubby" "Toto" etc;. If you ask him for a hug or high 5, he will oblige before you can say ...anything. Quite the lover, and more amusing than any dog I've ever had the pleasure of owning. He's medium sized, only a little over a year old, and about 40 pounds of ball stealing, herding dog energy. Posey is a 2 year old pitbull mix, her and her sister Wednesday are the babies of the pack. Posey's one love is her tennis ball, and she can fetch for HOURS, maybe days if we let her. She's the shiest of the three, and is deathly scared of loud outside noises like fireworks and storms, and nervous around new people. Her sister Wednesday is a lot more out going, and the happy go lucky "don't know what's going on but it's great!" girl. She's always smiling, and gentle with every animal and person she's ever met, no matter how big or how small. She never fails to make us laugh, and LOVES to jump in the air and steal Posey's balls, if Toby doesn't snatch it first. I also ha e two senior cats, the Queen's of the house who really rule the roost.. but would you expect anything less? My experience includes: Administering medications - I do this every day whether at work or home for my own babies. Grooming - this is part of my job at the clinic and something I actually love to do, please let me know if your dog needs something done, aside from a haircut! Walking/handling - Let me know any exercise needs your pet has, and I will get it done. Training - If you have a puppy it's always helpful for me to know what he/she knows already, what commands you use, and what your training method is so far. A vacation or break for you doesn't mean that training needs to stop! Pets with special needs, illnesses whether chronic or lifelong, special dietary needs or any aversions are all things I can comfortably and confidently handle as well. I am lucky to always have a couple vet's on speed dial at all times if there is ever anything we are unsure about.

Jessica is a true lover of dogs. I often find myself jealous of all the time she gets to play with dogs. She used to invite me and my dog Lily to the dog park with her, and my dog absolutely loved her, and would curl up on the table top next to her. I would trust my dog with her in a heartbeat!

Jessica is a dog lover. She loves all dogs, big and small. Always has. The time she spends with dogs and cats is quality time. I highly commend Jessica to care for your pet.

jessica is a perfect candidate to care for any dog, of all ages and sizes. as an animal lover myself, i could vouch she shares a passion for them - especially dogs. with her past, and current, dog owner experience and overall interest and love she has for dogs, there is no other reliable or trustworthy fit!

Information Jessica W. would like to know about your pet

I would like to know the personality, needs (dietary and medicinal), preferences and habits of the dog before sitting it. Whether it is playful, or laid back. What makes it happiest whether that'sfinding a warm spot to curl up, or go for a run, or a trip to the dog park, or just chasing balls in my fenced in yard. If your dog takes medication let me know how you administer it, and if they have a limited diet or any allergies please let me know! Any health issues should be brought up beforehand! I have no breed preferences, I love them all. Small, large, tall, chubby, fluffy and happy, there is not any breed that I would ever decline. I also have experience with almost every breed, either from owning so many different kinds myself, and from the many that walk through my work everyday.

A typical day

Wherever your dog normally walks is where we will likely go, unless you're away and would like for them to take a special trip to a park or nature trail instead for extra stimulation
