I have been caring for cats and dogs since a young age -- I believe I started pet sitting when I was 13 years old. I currently have a small Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (all shots/spayed), but prior to adopting Penelope, I had the best Lab/Great Dane mix for 11 years. Needless to say I have no problem caring for large breed dogs :) And as a pet owner myself, I know how stressful it can be to find someone trustworthy to care for your family member. My top priority is making sure the dogs I care for are safe and enjoying their time while staying with me. In order to ensure that, I offer a free “trial day” before their first stay. That’s where you bring your dog over and let them hangout with me for a couple of hours to get a chance to get familiar with my environment. After getting to meet some new friends and lots of new smells, you will pick them up and I fill you in on how they did. This is a requirement for all bookings

Jessica was an excellent pet sitter for our dog. She was responsive to all my messages and kept us updated on how our dog was doing during her stay. Our dog seemed to have a great time. Would highly recommend her as a dog sitter.

I was very anxious about leaving my Golden doodle Sage with anyone as she has separation anxiety and is not use not being with me. Jessica was awesome! I have a fenced yard and one friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. I also have a steady base of regular clients, so it’s very likely your pup will make some new friends during their stay. I can easily crate your dog if needed, but it’s not a requirement. As previously indicated, my top priority is making sure the dogs I care for are safe and enjoying their time while staying with me. In order to ensure that, I offer a free “trial stay” before their first booking. That’s where you bring your dog over and let them hangout with me for a couple of hours to get a chance to get familiar with my environment. After getting to meet some new friends and lots of new smells, you will pick them up and I fill you in on how they did. This is a requirement for all bookings 😊

**A trial day is required before booking** All breeds and sizes are welcome! Please let me know if your pup has exhibited any aggressive behaviors in the past. I have a small children in my home and cannot accept any dogs that have been aggressive, no exceptions. Please let me know if your pup has any issues with separation anxiety and what you do to help him or her relax when he or she is feeling anxious. Also, please let me know about any other behavioral issues your dog has exhibited in the past, particularly in regards to dominating, barking, chewing, and marking*** ***ATTN: MALE DOG OWNERS*** Belly bands will be utilized when a dog marks in the house.
A typical day
I have a fenced in yard and one friendly dog to keep your pup company during his or her stay. Playing in the backyard, going on walks, occasional trips to the dog park, etc… Please let me know if have any questions about what a typical day looks like in my home.

Availability
I work from home Mondays and Fridays and I work in Dallas Tuesday through Thursday from 7am-3pm. This means I will not be able to do midday potty breaks when I have go into the office. This also means I am not available for pickups or drop offs until I return home on the days I go into the office, so please be aware of this when you are making your request.
