My first dogs were Shih-Tzu now I have Great Danes. I spent most of my career as a marine biologist but now I do pet photography and pet blogging. My last two Danes were the most challenging dogs my trainer had met. Through the course of their training I started helping my trainer's other clients with their dogs. Each dog has different motivations and I like to keep things positive and fun for the dog. I have found it extremely helpful to learn to read each dog's body language to be able to anticipate their next move. My last Dane was a DINOS (dog in need of space), she either liked or hated other dogs so I have had to learn to read her body language quickly to keep her and other dogs safe. This has given me a keen understanding of the importance of dog to dog relations. My hours are flexible since most of my time is now spent working as a blogger.
