Happy pets are my specialty
Pet care experience
My family has had pets since I can remember. I’ve had dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, turtles, and rodents of every type. I’ve taken care of horses, goats, chickens, pigs, reptiles, spiders, bunnies…all the animals! HOTEL ROOM/AIRBNB DOG SITTING (please no human children) I am available to keep your doggo company for a few hours when you're out enjoying all that Newport has to offer humans, however the rates are NOT the same as house sitting. Hotel rooms are booked as house sitting, however the rate is good for up to three hours. After three hours, drop-in rates apply. Rover doesn't have a way to adequately compensate me for time spent in a hotel room, and they already get a pretty substantial chunk of my earnings. Thanks for understanding. Although being an RN isn’t really related to pet care, I think my skill set comes in handy in case of an emergency. Once my own furry overlords have received their worship, I'm allowed to see other pets. I’m very sorry to say that I just can’t sleep in someone else’s house (I know…) but otherwise I can totally live there all day, and it's actually a better deal than drop-in visits! My clients’ pets are as precious to them as mine are to me; I know it takes a leap of faith to leave them in a stranger’s care and I never forget it. Thanks for sharing your hairy babies with me!
Reviews
thank you for taking such good care of my boy today!!
Jen, thanks for your attention to Atlas. If you are willing, will definitely call upon you for future needs.
Not our first time and not our last time with Ms Jennifer. Could not be happier with Ms Jennifer’s visits to our pets. They adore her and she really really takes such amazing care of them. She truly is a pet expert, both for dogs and cats, a vigorous and experienced walker, and we always always go with Ms Jennifer for any of our pet sitting and walking needs.
Very nice despite my confusion.

While in a client's home, I'll not only make sure your pets are cared for, I'll clean up after them as needed and report back to you about anything that seems out of place. I communicate via Rover Cards, and you'll receive a report after each visit. I'm happy to take in mail, put out trash cans, poop patrol your yard, etc. PLEASE NOTE: It's helpful to have towels available for wet or dirty dogs, as well as cleaning supplies should any clean-up be needed. I wash bowls before refilling, so dish soap and paper towels are needed, at minimum. If your dog is well-trained, comes when called, and can run off-lead, I know a few places where he can get lots of exercise, play ball, etc. let me know if your pet is ok riding in the car and meeting other dogs.
Information Jennifer E. would like to know about your pet
It's crucial that I know if your pet is an escape artist. Also, if your dog is leash-reactive or aggressive toward other dogs (or joggers, bicycles, strangers, etc). If your dog has ever bitten someone, I MUST be informed. Behaviors aren't a deal-breaker, but I need to be prepared. (If your dog bites me, I will not be returning.) I'll always promote socialization but it must be safe for all. I have a tendency to be frank and discuss problematic behaviors. This is especially true with Pandemic Pups: in my experience they aren’t well-socialized and have very high levels of anxiety and fearfulness when meeting new people/carers. They tend to bite, as well. Doing the right thing for your dog is important to me, and I hope my clients are receptive to a professional opinion and suggestions to promote your dog’s wellbeing. Please also tell me about naughty things your dog might do, like eat things not meant to be eaten or counter-surfing,; or if they’re not allowed to do certain things like lounge on furniture, order pay-per-view, or use the microwave. You know…naughty dog stuff.
A typical day
I love belly rubs and brushing, walking, snuggling, and playing. I also like taking dogs to local parks and the shoreline--they find lots of good things to sniff and enjoy.

Availability
I work for myself since a new health condition keeps me from working as a bedside nurse. My schedule, therefore, is pretty flexible; that being said, there are times I ask my clients to be somewhat flexible also. I might ask if I can come a little earlier or later than your requested time. Rest assured, I will always show up!
