Dogs are the BEST friends
Pet care experience
I have had 4 cats (2 of which I hand raised since they were 2 days old), and 2 senior dog rescues over the last 25 years. I firmly believe in smothering dogs (pets) with love, and then more love! My own dogs have gotten warm towels after a cold and/or rainy walk, or a cold towel after a hot summer walk. I love all dogs, and am personally committed to senior dog rescue. I also love cats (having had 4 cats). I prefer dog sitting, but am totally fine and comfortable caring for your cat in your home as well, litterbox and all. I used to have a Cat TV video that I played for my cats. They actually loved it! One of my cats was diabetic, so I am comfortable and familiar with giving shots. My last dog had cancer, and I am comfortable and familiar with giving medicine. PHOTOS, PHOTOS, PHOTOS! I know how much it gives peace of mind to get photos of your pet while you're away (even if only for a few hours). I take and send lots of photos. I work from home, so your dog would rarely be alone. If I do have plans during a requested stay, I will let you know ahead of time. I recently lost my last dog and am "in between" dogs right now, so any dog staying with me or who I stay with would get my undivided attention. I live in the ground floor unit of my own condominium- only 2 steps in. There are plenty of walking paths all around the neighborhood. I have a white reflective jacket for evenings/early mornings. I also have knuckle lights that I wear evenings/early mornings. I have plenty of dog blankets for comfy snuggles. You know how no one remembers phone numbers anymore? The only numbers I have memorized are my mom's and my vet's office, which is literally 3 minutes from my house (5, if I get stuck at a red light). I have a great relationship with my vet's office and trust them implicitly. I also recently found two emergency vet offices that charge normal rates (not ER rates). Also, my upstairs neighbor is a vet tech, so if something were to happen, I can literally get a house call!
Reviews
Jenn is seriously the greatest of all time. She took extraordinarily good care of our dog when we were away for two weeks, and made leaving him so much easier. She sent tons of pictures and updates, and her very sincere care for our dog was apparent in every single one. Our dog was relaxed and happy on our return. I never want anyone else to stay with him. Thank you so much Jenn!
Jenn was great with our anxious doggy and respected his boundaries. It was a last-minute request but she went as far as canceling plans to be home with him during the entire stay. Thank you for taking such good care of our puppy and for the updates! Trying a new sitter for him is nerve-wracking, but he seemed really happy!
Jenn did a fantastic job watching our dog and house sitting over the weekend! She was a wonderful communicator and our dog loved her.

I work remotely, so I am home all day and most of the time. I have plenty of cozy blankets for dogs to snuggle. I have plenty of walking paths on the sidewalks throughout my neighborhood. If it's cold and/or raining, I throw a towel in the dryer before a walk, so it's nice and warm when we get back & I wrap your dog in the warm towel.

Information Jenn C. would like to know about your pet
What are your dog's likes/dislikes (i.e. some dogs aren't comfortable having their heads touched). What is your dog's energy level? What is your dog's typical walk/potty routine? What is your dog's daily routine (i.e. my last dog had a full 3 position wake up routine and there was no getting out of bed until he was done with all 3 positions).
A typical day
I like to get on the floor and play with dogs. I'll play whatever game they like- catch, tug, wrestle (gently), whatever. Or, happily snuggle. There are several paths in my neighborhood ranging from 1/4 mile to 3 miles. I also live near Gabriel Park and Tryon Creek Park for some good nature walks. I let dogs take all the time they want to sniff all the things they need to sniff.
