Hi, My name is Jennifer. My husband Michael and I have been involved in rescuing dogs and bottle fed kittens for a few years now. Animals have been my passion since I was young- raising money for rescue at 13 and also adopting my first dog. It’s important that we give back in some way and rescuing dogs (and bottle fed kittens!) has been a great way to do so. We also love to dog sit! Our pup, Susie, is a dachshund and gets along with every pup that’s entered our home- we attribute this to fostering and training! As a sitter, I think it’s important we keep as many variables the same from your house to ours. It’s great if the pup has their own bed, blanket, cage, toys; anything that makes them feel more at home! We’ve found this helps the dog adjust easily. I also will send you pictures to let you know your dog is doing well and loving life at our house! I know it can be stressful to trust your pup in someone else’s hands and I hope to be able to help ease your nerves. Our household: It is calm in our house, since it’s only Michael and myself with one dog. Susie is great at welcoming dogs (although she gets excited by the opportunity to have a sleepover!) and adjusting her energy to their level. We have a partially fenced in yard, so there is space for dogs to get some air! We also have a dog-approved sofa as well as a toy box full of a variety of plush toys, hard bones, and a toy that makes every noise you can possibly think of! We also have a “doggie corner” where there are two mini couches. We hope it’s clear to you that we love our clients’ dogs just as much as our own! I am also CPR certified, so your pet is in good hands. If you're ever nervous about a pet because they're older or have a medical condition, it's best to make a plan with me in case anything happens so I know how to best handle the situation.
