Furry Friends Welcome
Pet care experience
I like to start with yes, we are happy to watch Pit Bulls, Rottweilers. I am a "your dog(s) only" hosting location. Meaning I have no kids, no pets, and no other dogs/cats during your visit. My partner and I work remote and one of us is always available to ensure dogs receive attention, exercise, and bathroom breaks. If your dog naturally prefers spending time with women or men, one of us becomes the go to friend. I have experience with many breeds (small to very large) aggressive, special needs, quirky, stubborn, and medication dependent dogs. In my experience rescue dogs may require additional attention for anxiety or accommodation of unique behaviors. We have enjoyed and found a way to connect with all the rescue dogs staying with us. We genuinely enjoy spending time with and ensuring dogs are happy and healthy via exercise, play, and one on one attention. Location Most dogs like plenty of space to play, discover, and get comfortable in. Between a spacious home, dog friendly yard, and proximity to parks, a stay with me is a vacation rather than "boarding". A large viewing window into the backyard with birds, squirrels, and occasionally a wild rabbit provides endless natural intellectual stimulation. Attention/Play I like to engage with dogs the same way they play with other dogs. I encourage dogs to be comfortable, silly, and vulnerable by looking for "the play bow", open-mouthed grin, exaggerated bouncy movement. Endless chasing, audible play sounds, tug, and petting are standard. Walking I have been walking (small - extra large) dogs for a number of years. I am comfortable with dogs that do not get along well with other dogs, older dogs with mobility issues, stubborn dogs and dogs that still love to chase squirrels and birds. I have the experience, height and weight to comfortably walk extra large dogs through my neighborhood and the park without concern. I also enjoy running with larger or high energy dog that prefers something more sporty than a walk.
Reviews
I would not hesitate to leave our Maggie with Jeffrey again, treated her like she was his own and she came back to me a very happy girl. Thank you Jeffrey for the loving care and good walks.
This was a first time for us. Jeffrey made the entire process very smooth. We have a pit, a breed that most would turn away before even meeting her. Not Jeffrey. He was more than willing to have her. He maintained contact with me during the time our dog was with him. We can’t thank him enough. We truly hope we will have an opportunity to book him again.
There are not enough words to describe all the great things about Rachel and Jeffrey. We have two older dogs that we are very protective of and were concerned about leaving them for a week. From the first introductory phone call, we were immediately comfortable. They asked all the right questions (some we didn't even think of) and had all the right answers to ours. They are compassionate, caring, careful and loving. They were available to our dogs all the time and able to keep a watchful eye. We are so grateful and can't recommend them highly enough.
I couldn’t be more pleased. Jeffrey was great with Tucker and was very accommodating when some changes in our original schedule needed to be made. I received text messages every day along with pictures. He went out of his way to make Tucker feel at home which was important to me since it was Tucker’s first time away from home. In the future I would not think about leaving Tuck with anyone else. Jeffrey is the Best!

Safety, trust & environment
We care for our guests as if they are a member of the family. This means we strictly adhere to all owner requests during a visit. All walks and time outside are on leash (no exceptions). The more you tell us about your dog(s) the better we can ensure a positive visit. Walking, feeding, and medication administration happen daily on schedule. The house is generally quite, no children for dogs to compete for attention with, and hardwood floors for any accidents. We have an unfenced private backyard and very close to nearby parks. I carry water on walks for warm temperatures or dogs that commonly overheat.
