Pet care experience
Animals are my passion and I have worked in the pet industry for awhile now. I’ve worked in pet retail, doggie daycare, pet grooming and have grown up loving animals. I have knowledge on pet body language, nutrition, and behaviour. While working in the pet care industry I’ve done it all from managing a room of 20-30 high energy dogs at once, to giving a more nervous/shy dog a bit of 1-on-1 time, to administering medication, and cleaning up any messes along the way.

Janice is super professional and pays close attention to detail with your pup! My dog is a very shy rescue and I was concerned with how long it would take her to warm up to a new person, but she’s been doing great with Janice so far. Highly recommend!
Janice was such an awesome sitter! She is very reliable and responsible, I received a lot of pics and videos,also ZaiZai’s summary of the day which was so thoughtful! I believe ZaiZai was super enjoyed the stay! Thank you again and Highly recommended!
Janice is very professional and amazing dog walker. She was very prompt in providing updates regarding Pepper and sent pics each walk to let us know how she did. I would totally take help from Janice again and plan to during the summer

I have a tall fenced backyard that’s been pet-proofed. I’ve got lots of enrichment items such as sniffle mats, lick mats, cat towers, toys, puzzles, etc. I also live in a quieter neighbourhood. I am happy to do crating accommodations as well as free-roaming accommodations for bedtime and really try to replicate the routine you may have for your pet. I have pet gates available to use and section off parts of the area you don’t want your pet to have access to. I also have many dog parks close to me that I can bring your dog(s) to if your dog is okay with that and with the owners permission. I also lead an active enough lifestyle and would be happy to bring your dog as a hiking pal if owners would like that.

Please introduce to your pet and let me know of any behavioural concerns(resource guarding,anxiety,reactivity,etc),any health concerns(protein sensitivity, cataracts, arthritis,etc) and a bit about your pets daily routine. I’ll typically have a chat with new clients to make sure we’re on the same page and the services I offer is the right fit for them and their pet.
A typical day
If the weather permits there’ll typically be a lot of outside time in the yard, just lounging away on a nice elevated bed. Perhaps a nice trail or hike. I also like to mentally stimulate the pets so I have lots of enrichment options.

My job schedule is consistent so when your pet is staying with me, they will have all the attention they may need and the day will be centred around caring for them, exercise, and mental stimulation.
