Pet care experience
Thank you for your interest! We are glad you took the time to check us out to care for your furry friend! Here is a little bit of information about us: - There is always someone home! Both of us work from home so besides the occasional family dinner out or trip to the store, we are home. - We have loads of experience with all kinds of dogs! For the last 7+ years, we have been a foster home for a local rescue. We have cared for many different kinds and sizes of dogs. We have cared for dogs with all kinds of issues and have never had any problems! - We have a large, fully fenced in, wooded, park like yard for your pup to explore! But don’t worry, we never leave a dog unattended in the yard. We spend a lot of time out there, so your pet will as well. - We don’t crate. Unless a pet parent requests us to, we pretty much let your pup roam free or keep them in one or 2 rooms. Typically, they would be where we are. The only exception to this is aggression, which almost never happens but we do have the plan in place just in case. - We will keep you updated with pics and texts! We know the occasional check in is important! - Most importantly, we will care for your pup as if they were our own. We know the feeling of being on a trip and thinking or worrying about your dog. He/she will be on their own vacation here, having a blast in the yard or curling up to watch some TV. Either way, he/she will be taken care of as well as you do. If you would like, we can set up a meet and greet. These are not necessary but some pet parents prefer to do it. We are available most evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. Or if you feel comfortable with us watching your pup, you can book with us right away. If you decide to book with us, all we ask for is your pups food, an idea on their feeding and sleeping schedules and a phone number to reach you with pics and updates! You are more than welcome to bring some treats, toys and/or bed. Also just so you know…… We do watch more than one dog at a time. If you have a pup that is not friendly or you don’t want them to be with the other dogs, we can accommodate that as well. Typically we keep the dogs in their own areas and let them play with one another one or two at a time and a person is with them. We won’t ever socialize your pup with someone else’s unless we were with them. In the off event that we do need to leave the house as a group and it would be just the dogs at home, we would close doors and keep them in a room alone, with a box fan, TV, water and a bed. If this were to happen, it would be not more than one or two hours for a school event or dinner kind of thing. Also, we have kids. Our kids have a lot of experience with the dogs as well. Kevin, who is 17 and is very gentle, kind and ADORES all dogs. In fact, Kevin works at a local vet and takes care of the boarded and daycare pups there. He also assists the vets with the pups too.m. Alyssa, who is 12, tends to want any pup to snuggle up with her on the bean bag chair in her room. If you have a pup who is not good with kids, that’s OK! We have had many rescue dogs who were just the same. These pups don't get the run of the house but they do get a whole room! If you have any special instructions for the care, any specific questions or need to know anything further, reach out here via rover and I will answer right away! I typically try to respond with in the first 15 minutes after I receive your request. Thank you again for your interest! We hope you decide to book with us!

A typical day
We typically like the pet parent to provide us with a brief routine when the pet is home. It is important that we keep your dog as comfortable as possible so we try to mirror your home routine as much as we can.
