Pet care experience
I have years of dog experience, from growing up with Shepherds, to shadowing veterinarians for years, to founding a 501c3 nonprofit dog rescue in 2022. save strays and neglected dogs/puppies and find them forever homes. I have also taken many dog training courses over the years and am very well versed in dog behavior, dog aggression, and special medical needs.
Reviews
Can’t say enough good things about Jaclyn. Her knowledge about dogs and experience caring for them makes her a trustworthy and dependable sitter. She provided excellent overnight care for my senior pitbull and anxious mastiff while I was on vacation. Her open communication and consistent updates were greatly appreciated, and a friend who had stopped by had nothing but good things to say about her too. Highly recommend working with Jaclyn and appreciate all she did for my dogs!
Let me tell you how great Jaclyn is! I have some special needs animals & was hesitant to leave town to visit family for Thanksgiving, but really wanted to go. After meeting Jaclyn, I knew I could leave & be fully confident they were all well-cared for. She was thoughtful, responsible, caring & very professional. Very sincere about her job. I appreciate her love of animals & her work ethic. Thank you so much, Jaclyn!
An AMAZING pet sitter. She takes really good care of them. I have a really high energy pup and she made sure he had ample exercise and socialization. Would highly recommend.
Jaclyn is an INCREDIBLE dog/cat/pet lover. She has fostered a ton of dogs through local rescues in Houston for 5-6 years now, and it's obvious that she is extremely passionate about what she does. She helped to personally train my dog, who was aggressive with other animals on leash, and took in two dogs I found outside as strays, kept them, vetted them, and re-homed them to wonderful families. She sets appropriate boundaries, makes sure that all of the dogs she cares for get plenty of physical and mental exercise, and spoils them rotten! I can't think of anyone better suited to watch my own family members <3

Safety, trust & environment
I have extensive experience in training (particularly aggression, as we have a lot of behavior issues with rescues!), bottle feeding neonates, bully breeds, giant breeds, medical cases, nursing mothers, etc. Needless to say, your pup(s) will be in great hands! I also vaccinate our own rescue dogs and puppies, so any medical needs - including injections- are completely manageable.

Information Jaclyn B. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any dietary restrictions (esp for treats!), allergies, medical concerns, etc. If your dog has anxiety or other behavioral concerns, also let me know! These are things I can work with, but need to know ahead of time so I can accommodate. Also- how does your dog behave when left alone for short periods of time (I.e., if I have to grocery shop or zip out) - can he/she be kenneled? Is he/she okay if confined to a single room? Although I can definitely accept dogs that are not friendly with other animals, I do need to know this ahead of time as well so I can make sure to set up accordingly.
A typical day
I am a huge advocate of exercise for dogs. I believe the basis of a lot of anxiety and misbehavior in dogs stems from lack of enrichment and exercise. As such, I make sure every animal gets outside multiple times a day to stretch, jog, and run! (Or for the couch potatoes out there, to sniff around and stimulate their brains with new sights/sounds/smells)

Availability
I work entirely from home, so you can feel comfortable and confident that your dog will be monitored and safe at all times! If I do have to run an errand or zip out, dogs are never left unsupervised together, even if they get along- I am diligent about safety first.
