Animal ER - Professional Caregiver

Pet care experience

I have grown up having pets of all kinds. I have had fish, mice, hamsters, a chinchilla, a rabbit, dogs, cats, and a red-eared slider (who is still alive and kicking at 20 years old!); along with any found cat/dogs that we would find homes for. Currently, I have 2 pets - 2 old men. One is my cat (a Manx) Henry at about 13 years old and the other is my dog (an Old English Sheepdog) Riley at 11 years old. Riley is my special boy - he has one eye and has a couple issues (allergies, joint/disc, liver) that I have worked with to keep him puppy-like. I have over 10 years experience working in veterinary medicine - this has ranged from primary care to ER care. I also have experience walking and dealing with reactive or special needs dogs, such as those that are not fond of other dogs or require a muzzle.

Heather took care of both of my “special needs” dogs 1-hr mon-fri or a whole year while they got acclimated to a new home. She walked, fed, played and monitored them for me with a special report each day. Dexter is dog aggressive and also takes medication. Heather was able to handle him on walks and also pill him when I needed her to administer meds. I felt comfortable with her extensive vetinary background. Duke is an old boy and needs special food and also meds. Heather was great with both. She also stayed at my house in several occasions to watch the boys while I was out of town. I give heather my highest recommendation.
