We Love Your Pup Like Our Own!
Pet care experience
Animals have always been a part of my life since I was a young child, especially dogs. I've cared for many types of animals-birds, fish, a leopard gecko, a bearded dragon, turtles, cats, bunnies, and dogs. Before I had children of my own, I worked as a family dog trainer and at a doggie daycare. As a dog trainer, I used positive reinforcement to train the behaviors, and I still believe this is the best method of training. I've trained 8 week old puppies up to senior adult dogs in basic behavior. I was certified to teach AKC Canine Good Citizen classes, and I taught basic agility classes. With my previous dogs, I attended confirmation classes for showing dogs, and I competed in hunting field trials (no actual hunting). I have experience with dogs of all ages, breeds, and sizes. I have knowledge to understand dog body language, and what they are trying to tell the other dogs (and people) around them. All of our personal dogs have been high energy dogs, so play and walks are very important to me. I also have taken care of dogs with medical conditions or specials needs. Our senior dog was treated for diabetes for a few years, so I am comfortable administering both oral and injectable medication. From August through May, we work full time and are gone from 7:00am-4:00pm. When we are home, the dogs get our full attention with walks, play, and cuddles. We are home during full time during the weekends to give your dog lots of attention! During June and July, my schedule is much more flexible, with more time at home. I have a large, mostly shaded fenced in backyard with lots of space to run and play. Dogs will always be supervised in the backyard. During the warmer months, we monitor the amount of time dogs spend outside due to the heat. Our home is very dog friendly. Dogs are allowed on the furniture to cuddle and sleep. We have two dogs, a Golden Retriever and Italian Spinone, who love other dogs! Our two children, ages 10 & 14, have grown up with dogs and love to play with them too! It is important that the dogs we have in our home are kid-friendly. All dogs will eat in separate areas to avoid resource guarding. When we leave the house, all dogs will be crated for their safety. We have a couple crates available depending on the size of the dog, or you can bring your own. We would love to watch all the dogs in your family, so we will watch more than one dog. However, we will only board one family at a time in our home to give them the love and attention they need.
Reviews
Erin & Steve took great care of Lillie while we were away for an extended vacation. She was very happy with them and we could tell that she was treated like one of the family. Highly recommend them and plan to use them again next time!
Erin and her family are the absolute best!! We had to leave our dog for an extended period of time, and she really made our dog part of their family. They took such great care of her, but even more, they really loved her and helped to make a hard situation so easy for our dog and our family. We will only use Erin when we need another sitter! This is the best place to keep your dog.

Very kind family who sent photos and made me feel 100% comfortable with the process. Dippy had the best time playing and napping with their dogs! It’s so nice to hear my fur baby had a great time. Thank you so much for your service ??

We have a large fenced in yard for dogs to run around and play. Someone is outside with the dogs at all times. In the home, dogs are allowed on the couch to sleep and cuddle. We have a large crate available for dogs that are crate trained. When we leave for work, dogs that are crate trained will go in the crate. However, if your dog is not crate trained, we make the determination to keep your dog out with our dogs, or we crate our dogs. Our first priority is the safety of all dogs in the home.

Information Erin & Steve W. would like to know about your pet
It is important that I know your dog's feeding schedule, daily routine, likes, and dislikes. This information helps me to make informed decisions about caring for your dog in our home.
A typical day
In the mornings, we will spend some time in the backyard sniffing and playing. Then, we will have breakfast and potty time. If boarding takes place during our work week, we will crate visiting dogs that are crate trained, with fresh water and any toys you are comfortable with giving them. Dogs that are not crate trained can stay out in the house, and we may crate our own dogs instead. Someone will be home around 4:00pm to let the dogs out in the backyard to potty and run around. After dinner, we spend time both indoors and outside, depending on the weather. There are LOTS of toys available to play with in our home, and we love to play tug of war! Our nights wind down around 11:00pm, when all dogs are put in the crate (if crate trained) or sleep in the living room or bedroom. On the weekend and during the summer months, we are home most of the day to shower your dog with playtime and cuddles!
