The animals I've worked with range from horses to guinea pigs, since I've volunteered at a horse farm and at The Humane Society for several years. I have worked for a professional pet sitting company, where I gained experience with doing scheduled dog walking, home-to-home pet sitting, and even overnight stays. (plus many other mixed breeds)! Why I love dog sitting- I have been a dog lover my entire life. Ever since I was in a stroller I have never been afraid of them. In fact, I have an affinity with dogs, as I always feel a connection with them. I've been best friends with every dog I've ever known, feeling fully comfortable with them and loving their presence. Ever since I could speak I was asking my parents for a dog. Finally, at age eight, I was triumphant. My mother fell in love with a little yellow dog at The Humane Society and brought us all there to meet her. We knew we wanted this dog as soon as they let us play with her. Unfortunately, we were behind a few other people on a waiting list for her. Thankfully, fate was kind to us and for whatever reasons the previous people who wanted her could not take her, and we brought our puppy home. She lived a long, pampered, healthy, happy life until she passed away nearly fifteen years later. She was my best friend since I was eight, and I will never forget her, and will always love her. She inspires me daily to get out there and make a connection with more and more dogs. It makes me happy. My dog now- I have an 11-year-old Pomeranian who is extremely smart, loyal, sweet and affectionate! I have had him for about 2 years, and I am not sure how I lived before. He is the first dog that has ever been completely mine! My experience administering medication- I have administered pills and sprays to dogs, and given a cat it's inhaler. I should be comfortable with any kind of medication. ***Often times, people find me on here, then go on to be my clients outside of Rover!***
