Hi! I’m Emma, a current PhD student in English with a HUGE love of dogs. I have experience working with both small and large breed dogs, and I particularly enjoy dog walking!

I am a total dog person—when I'm in a room with a pup, it is impossible for me to focus on anything else! I am very attentive to body language, and have in the past been able to identify when something was wrong, and caught potential illness early on. I am particularly attentive to keeping foreign objects out of the way (socks!, plants!), and being hyper vigilant about keeping the door closed! (I’ve had some experience with runners)

I enjoy working with poodles and chihuahuas! I've spent a lot of time with senior dogs, and they are truly something special and I love working with them. If there are any commands you are working on, I would love to practice them while I care or your pet!
A typical day
I am a big time walker and love to take my own dog, Dolly, on long walks throughout the week. If it's rainy or too cold, we will go for a shorter walk and I will supplement that with some brain stimulating activity, like a lick mat, or a treat roll. Lately we have been going to the dog park, where Dolly has made some new friends.

I am a PhD student at Vanderbilt, so I have a very atypical schedule! My daily work is mostly remote, and I make my own schedule which makes it easy to work with you and your pup’s scheduling needs.
