Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs and cats, and I adopted my first pet of my own at 19. Since then, I have adopted 3 more cats ranging from kitten to adult. I have been house sitting for the last 3 years for both friends and family. I spent 4 years working at a local animal hospital! I am comfortable with all sizes, ages, and health status. I feel safe giving daily medications and taking gentle care of those that do. I take dogs for daily walks with many play sessions, and can feed and bathe pets. Cats are also just as important to me, and I am happy to give them stimulation and attention.

Emma is WONDERFUL-very communicative and kind, and our pup loves her. It took him awhile to warm up as he's a very emotional little dude-but now that he is familiar with her he gets SO happy when she comes to walk him and it makes my heart so happy. We are so lucky to have her on our care team!!
Emma is the BEST! She absolutely stepped in while I had to go out of town for work and spent almost the whole week taking my pup on midday walks. She sent cute photos and updates on how he was doing-and I felt totally confident and comfortable that he was in more than capable hands. Thank you!!!
Emma was spectacular-very communicative and cared for our senior kitty who is on various medications, as well as our 3 year old beagle mix who is pretty high energy. She kept us in the loop the entire trip and made us feel fully confident to disconnect and enjoy ourselves. Cant wait to have Emma watch our babes again!

I am very comfortable staying at a client's home. I respect personal space and property, and make sure pets still follow rules. Training a pet is hard, and I would feel terrible if I ever ruined the work put in. I know how important routine is to animals, and would not want to mess that up. In regards to the home, I am a non-smoker who loves to craft and sit with animals watching TV.

I need to know if your dog has any medications or medical issues. Knowing these things can help me adjust my walking or playtime with them to keep them healthy and comfortable. I also think social behaviors are important to know. Please let me know if your dog needs a muzzle for walks or can only go out at certain times. I am willing to work on their schedule!
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks around the neighborhood! If approved by the client, I can take them on hikes or parks for extra exercise. If weather is bad, I would find resources to keep them stimulated mentally and physically to ensure a happy experience.

Availability
I just started working overnights at Gundersen, but I am happy to spend days off with animals! My normal shift is 6:30pm to 6:30am, and I have up to four days off every week. I have my own cat that I need to see twice daily, but otherwise I am free to spend all day with your sweet babies!
