Work from home & very experienced!
Pet care experience
Due to an unknown respiratory illness traveling in the U.S.: All dogs must avoid daycares and dog parks for two weeks before their stay with me to reduce the risk to all dogs in my care. I also will not be taking too many dogs at a time until this disease is no longer a threat to dogs in the area. I have two cats who stay in another room and no dogs. The other dogs Rover references are for when I use rover for hiring help with my clients or foster dogs. I have a lot of experience studying and working with dogs in my home, and since I work from home I can spend almost all day with them. Im all about giving pets what they need based on how they communicate. Whether it’s a lot of love, or some space, I’m receptive to them! I’ve taken care of dogs and cats for 5 years. I have fostered dogs and worked out behavioral issues and am currently studying dog training as well. I would love to meet your pets! I’ll take great care of your family member as well as be in fast receptive communication with you as necessary, sending photos and/or videos every day. Whatever your pet needs I’m here! I work from home and am super flexible to what the dogs need, I typically hang with them in my home office, give fenced yard breaks every few hours, and we do couch time in the evening. I have a fenced yard and also some crates and dog toys if needed. If certain dogs aren’t getting along well I have different rooms and spaces to rotate the dogs so everyone is calm and happy. I do have cats and I keep them in a separate room whenever dogs are visiting.
Reviews
Can’t recommend Emily highly enough, absolutely 10/10. She took care of my pittie Duke over the holiday. She is experienced, reliable, communicative, has a genuine interest in dogs,is thoughtful, and is very kind. She is very skilled at navigating having multiple dogs in the home and as a result Duke had friends to play with all weekend. Thanks so much Emily !
My two dogs loved their weekend stay with Emily! They were all smiles when we picked them up. I appreciated all the photo and video updates throughout their stay. Thanks so much Emily, we’ll be back!
Emily was absolutely fantastic with my Yogi!!!! Absolutely will be booking her again!
Emily far exceeded our expectations! Very communicable, sent tons of pictures and videos of our husky having a great time, and was very punctual with pickup and drop off, making this the easiest boarding ever! Can't recommend enough

The dogs are allowed on furniture and can use their crate or one of mine if it’s familiar for them and less overwhelming than being in a new larger space. I have a few rooms to keep dogs separated if needed, but they usually hang together and hang out with me during the day since I work from home. They can and do sleep with me if they are OK with my cats, who live in my bedroom. Otherwise they have lots of places to choose from to sleep, blankets, couch, a dog mattress, etc. they go in my fenced yard multiple times a day and if there are multiple playful dogs here they like to play together out there.

Information Emily Z. would like to know about your pet
Any behavioral concerns/things I should avoid doing that could be a trigger. Is the dog friendly with other dogs, do they have separation anxiety/are they OK being left alone in a room, are they crate trained. Anything else the parent wants me to know.
A typical day
Yard time, play, lounge time while I work, cuddles, whatever they want (that’s parent approved). I sometimes like to take them on leash walks if they also like that.

Availability
I work from home so I do some hours in my office then we go play outside or for a walk, repeat. My dog routine is: breakfast and potty in the morning, a few potty breaks and a walk during the day, dinner around 6p and the final potty for the evening at 9p. This is very flexible if your dog has different schedule needs.
