I have always wanted to work with / care for animals since I was tiny, i have a huge passion & always dedicate my life to animals :). I have owned a variety of animals over the years including cats (including maine coons and a black domestic shorthair), dogs (I currently have a dramatic cockapoo and an eccentric cocker spaniel), rats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs (I currently have 14!), fish, a snake, a crested gecko and pink footed millipedes. I have a Level 3 in Animal Management, completed a Zoo Academy placement at Whipsnade Zoo and recently completed a Level 2 Pet First Aid qualification. I have experience in administering many different medications and applying first aid including diabetes injections, vet wrap/bandages around wounds & oral medication. I currently manage the day to day running of a local cattery and previously also worked at a dog day care and training organisation, and have also worked at a well known pet retail outlet. In addition to work and my own zoo, I have cared for dogs of all shapes and sizes (including new foundlands, shephards, golden retrievers, labradors, spaniels, collies, shitzus, puppies of lots of breeds and a lot more!). I have cared for a variety of cats in addition to working at the cattery, and have experience in house / pet sitting for multi animal households, tailoring the care required to the needs of the individual animals. I have a full driving licence and my own car.
