Pet care experience
My family dog is home in Maine, so what better way to fill the void! I always look forward to connecting with your dogs to give them the best experience while you're away. I’ve dog-sat for coworkers and friends ranging from days to weeks, both high and low maintenance dogs, so I’m ready for whatever is needed. I conveniently live right off of the Harvard Gulch Park trail and am an active individual with a big heart for animals. Whether it be a quick walk or applying doggy sunscreen and doggy toothpaste, I’ve had plenty of experience with different breeds / sizes / personalities. I’d love to be a friend and comfortable space for your furry friend! Don’t hesitate to contact me with questions or concerns. :-) New customers get $20 off!!!!!! -> Use code EMILYD98612 <-
Reviews
Emily was incredible with our dog Penny! Penny is a very high energy dog who needs a lot of attention and she got it. We felt extremely comfortable with Penny in Emily’s hands. The picture updates every day were great and just what we needed to be reassured that Penny was settling in well.
Emily was so wonderful and gave me peace of mind while I was out of town for the weekend. She reached out once per day and sent me several pictures, which I loved. She took Maya outside in the backyard, on walks, and adventures - a dog heaven! Thank you, Emily!
Emily was incredible!! She was extremely flexible with my schedule which is a must for me. She coordinated Luna's dropoff smoothly, cared about Luna's safety and comfort, and was very friendly. Emily gave me lots of photo updates of Luna enjoying her stay and even took her out to get some doggy ice cream. Above and beyond service and Luna seemed so happy when I picked her up. Will definitely be using Emily again in the future for Luna's sitting needs!
Emily was amazing! Lola seemed so happy during her stay! Very accommodating & easy to work with! Out of Towner & gave me great recommendations!

I typically devote whatever time I'm scheduled 100% to the dog, and try to prepare beforehand so I'm not needing to leave the dog along for too long at all. Especially if there are dogs with anxiety issues, being fully present is important. I have a fenced-in backyard with easy access to the bathroom.

Information Emily D. would like to know about your pet
I always want to know if there are any special care instructions to be aware of for transparency reasons. I want to make sure I'm prepared for what your dog needs. I also ask about personality, any potential restrictions (no other dogs, food aggressive, limited exercise, etc.), feeding and bathroom schedules, and always offer a meet-up beforehand to allow familiarity.
A typical day
I have always been fortunate enough to have a fenced in backyard, so there will be plenty of opportunity for outside time, no matter what your dogs ability/physical fitness level is. I also live right off of some running trails, both public and more private. For really social dogs, I enjoy taking dogs to my local brewery where they are most likely spoiled with attention.

I typically wake up early in the morning, and whenever there is a dog with me I go for 30-minute walks. I'm also from Maine, so winter walks are not an obstacle. I also work remotely and have a flexible hybrid schedule, so I try to be flexible for you as the dog owner.
