I have been a life long pet owner, and a dedicated pet caregiver and lover! I frequently take care of my family's two big dogs that live in the neighborhood (but do not have a dog that lives with me full time in my own apartment). I helped raise and train the both from puppyhood to adulthood, so I have excellent experience with all ages of dogs. I walk them both at the same time - that's almost 150 pounds of dog!! - and have a great handle on them, even when they dart for squirrels :-P I've been on the other end of finding care for my family's dogs when we are all out of town together, so I know how important finding a trusted caregiver is! The meet-n-greet is an important step in the process for us both to ask questions and make sure everyone is comfortable and a good fit. It is most important to me to make sure you are aware and comfortable with all of the details of my abilities and accommodations. Taking pictures and sending updates while you are away is a top priority! I live perfectly situation between Riverside Park and Central park within walking distance to three different dog runs. I love practicing manners at home, playing with toys, and curling up on the couch! I live in a studio apartment with one docile cat, so a dog that is ok with cats and a smaller space would be best. On many occasions I have boarded my family's dogs (one is 95 lbs, the other 55 lbs) in my apartment and they love it! I work from home about half of the work week, and will happily plan to be home a lot on weekends if I am watching your dog. Your dog will get a lot of time attention and I would love to make them feel loved and secure while you are away! I listed availability for two dogs at a time; however, I will happily accommodate your request to board only your dog if he/she would be happier as the only dog.
