I love dogs, cats + communication!
Pet care experience
I've cared for my own dogs and cats and been an on-call “auntie” for pets belonging to friends and family members for many years. I worked for Monadnock Petsitting in New Hampshire’s Monadnock region for several years. "Good communication" is mentioned often in my reviews by pet owners, as my large number of repeat clients suggests. I've worked in the education and communications fields, so my clear visit reports and multiple photos bring peace of mind to my clients while they're away.
Reviews
What a relief! Elise is a great pet sitter that put the family's worries and concerns at ease. She is a great communicator and thorough. We were updated regularly and many photos were included. Our cat was not stressed when we returned and appeared to have managed wonderfully! -Thank you Elise and Rover
The peace of mind Elise provides, knowing my 3 cats are in excellent care, is invaluable! I know she gives them the love and attention they need while I am gone, and I can really relax. I get pictures each visit, her scheduling and communication are consistent. Elise is awesome!
Elise did an excellent job cat-sitting Salem! She was extremely attentive and punctual! I'll definitely book with her again.
Elise impeccably followed all of our instructions on caring for our cat and ensured our space remained pristine. Throughout our trip she provided regular updates, granting us the peace of mind necessary to fully enjoy our time away. Thank you, Elise, for your exceptional service!

Safety, trust & environment
My husband and I have two indoor cats. brothers who were feral as kittens; they're doing wonderfully now, but are still quite skittish. For this reason, I'm not offering day care or boarding services at this time. DOGS: Though I currently have no dogs at home, my family and I have had several high-energy, playful large dogs over the years: Labs, Boxers, and large mutts. I've cared for dogs of all sizes, from toy breeds up through Huskies, Newfoundlands, and Great Danes, and from puppies to elderly dogs. CATS: I'm very accustomed to interacting with cats of all levels of energy and sociability. From the shy ones who hide in the basement and just want their dinner on time, to the love nuggets who purr and play non-stop — I adore them all!
Information Elise M. would like to know about your pet
Special needs and preferences are key for me to understand and account for. How your dog reacts to other leashed dogs, people on the street, etc. are also very important factors to know in advance. Regarding any training that's underway: Is it fine to just walk, or would you like your dog to have some practice with sit/stay/heel/etc.?
A typical day
DOGS: Walks, walks, and walks! If your yard or indoor space allow for it, lots of off-leash outdoor play too (including fetch, "soccer," hide-the-treat games, etc.). Lots of pets and scritches, too. CATS: I'm very accustomed to interacting with cats of all levels of sociability, from the ones who hide in the basement and just want their dinner on time to the love nuggets who purr and play non-stop. I love them all and do my best to engage the shy ones on whatever level they're comfortable, even if it's just a sniff of my hand and leaving them a treat nearby. For both: I generally "chat" with the pets I work with, using a gentle voice. I believe that it helps reassure pets who are missing their people!
