Pet care experience
I had a very sweet dog and cat as a child, grew up with several family members and close friends with a variety of pets in the home. I value respecting your home, your pet, and the structure you’ve established for your pet’s care. I am very patient and have a rather flexible schedule as I am a student. I pay close attention to safety (which can be hugely important especially with young pets). Keeping in mind that your pet is a part of your family, I will ensure that your pet will feel loved and safe in my care. You and your pet will both be very happy with my services!

Thank you Dionne for taking such great care of our little guy. He’s a senior (17 years old) and needs someone that can walk slowly and give him cuddles. He has found a great walker with you!
Dionne is excellent with pups! Dionne sits for my 5 year old cock-a-poo Sonny. Sonny is a rescue dog that needs special TLC as he has anxiety and separation issue. Sonny is on Diazepam and Dionne has done a great giving him comfort and his medication. I know he is safe and happy when she comes to sit him.
Dionne was super gentle and patient with my boston terrier, Haunz! He can be a handful but she made sure he was happy and comfortable.

Urgent needs are addressed first, so I typically start with a walk for as long as needed, next I assess at home whether the pet needs to be cleaned up a bit, refill water and food as needed, and take additional measures to alleviate any anxieties (such as find a toy for the pet) before locking up and leaving.

A typical day
Parks are my go-to if you live in a neighborhood with a nearby park, which is the perfect place to run and play or interact with other dogs (if you’re okay with that)! Otherwise, walking along a safe street and a bit of playtime in or near home is a good alternative.

Availability
I am available weekday early mornings (before 6:45am), evenings (after 4pm) and weekends all day. I also tend to be in town during long weekends and holidays.
