I wanted to take some time before writing this review. This was our most stressful experience with Rover. We left Joey with Diep and her partner multiple times in the past but this time our trust was broken. Joey's profile clearly states that Joey is not comfortable with kids and cats. We told them several times that he should not be close to any kid because it's too risky. Over the last stay they invited their friends over for the weekend who had a baby. They didn't bother to check with us once. We got a message in the middle of the night that Joey is being aggressive towards the baby and is barking continuously. They shoved Joey in his travel carrier and closed it up which caused stress and chaos. We got extremely worried because keeping Joey and a baby he never saw before was risky. They asked us to do something. Rather than finding an alternate arrangement for their friends they asked us to figure out. We kept calling and messaging and they didnt respond. We couldn't find any known sitter last minute so asked our friend to stay overnight at our house with Joey. This friend had no experience with dogs and we told Diep about it. Joey had to stay with our friend for 2 nights because they didn't really bother to relocate their friends. We were paying for every night and the expectation is that they would prioritize the pup. The worst part is that when we asked them to walk Joey during his temp stay with our friend, they took Joey for 10 min walk at 9am and came at 2pm, walked Joey for 20 mins and then told our friend that they won't come in the evening because Joey only poops once. Joey always poops in the morning and in the evening so we requested them to walk him again in the evening. They agreed and made it sound like a favor to us. All this coordination while we were out of the country. They came around 9pm after their dinner and Joey did poop. This tells me that they don't really take Joey out in the evening during his stay with them. We also noticed that they are radio silent on weekends and update very infrequently. In the past Joey came back with infections because of excess licking (which he used to do if he was left alone for long or if he had no play or walk time). We ignored it before thinking it could be a one time thing. But now we do think Joey is left alone for long hours. We would never book them again in future.

Joey always have a blast with Diep and her partner. He gets pampered, loved and he enjoy his staycation with them a lot. Joey always gets excited when he meets them outside. All of us couldn't hold our excitement when we saw Diep back on Rover. Always gonna be our first choice for Joey :)
