Pet care experience
I’ve raised and taken care of different types of dogs in my life. The first dog I ever loved was my grandmother’s beagle Brandy. As I got older, I realized that I’m good with dogs and can bond with most and be a good buddy. Because exercise is important, I like to walk dogs on the weekends because it helps keep me active (and is good cardio for everyone). When my friend travelled for work, I’d watch her dog and we got a routine going to where he’s happy and stimulated, and not confined to the house all day. I recently got hired on at Banfield in addition to me being a Rover. The career switch from hospitality to pets is perhaps the best decision I’ve made.

Devan was fantastic! We were so nervous to leave our dog for the first time but Devan staying at our house calmed our nerves immensely. He graciously came over twice before the trip to spend time with our pets, and he checked in frequently throughout the trip to give us updates. We will absolutely be using him again. Wnizes it right away. Caring for other’s pets, I like to meet up with them and see how they like me as not to be seen as a threat (because I’m tall). If there are any commands they know, I like to incorporate them into their daily routine as not to break it in their owners absence. If they need to be in a crate I can do that but when I’m there, I like for them to be able to move around.

I like to get to know the pet(s), their quirks, and their personality to connect with them. Because I’m tall I know to some I can be intimidating so I like for them to see I’m a friend.
A typical day
A Saturday where I’m not working would involve a morning walk (so I’ll have a cuddle buddy for playing video games), some fetching/ toy play, and then another couple potty breaks. I’ll usually run errands or just lay around being a couch potato.

Availability
On a day I work at Banfield, I feed and give walks/ potty breaks before I head to work and again as soon as I get home. And then a last walk before bed.
