I grew up taking care of my family's Great Danes (and my wife grew up with dogs), pet sitting for neighbors and bosses, and now care for two dogs of my own. I started as a Rover customer, needing some affordable but specialized care for my own dog; now, I'm hoping to help others with dedicated pet sitting. We work from home, so our dogs get plenty of attention and outside time. Weather dependent, we try try to go for a few mile walk daily. Between my wife and myself, there's someone awake from 6AM-2AM, so we're able to keep a keen eye out on our furry friends. Generally, our dogs eat at 9AM and 6PM. We have a fenced in backyard (4-6 feet tall, half paddock style with wire mesh infill, half with board on board) with neighbors who also all have fences (and dogs!). We have a flood light overlooking the yard for nighttime potty trips. We have a medium and large dog crate, the large one probably capable of holding in a lion. Our two dogs are very dog friendly. We have a raised feeder and slow feeding bowl if needed. We've got too many toys for our boys, so there's no lack of personal entertainment and tugging. We keep a water bowl outside on our screened in porch when it's warm for during outside play/potty time.
