✨Hello friends! I am currently not accepting new bookings unless from repeat clients as I am relocating from PA to IN in the coming months. I have had the opportunity to have dogs in my home since I was a child, and currently, I am living away from home my childhood home where my pups reside. This means that I have endless love and attention to provide a dog during my time in Green Lane. My family has specifically owned a German shepherd mix, a boxer/pit mix, and two pit mixes. My boyfriend's family recently got a Great Dane and I have loved spending time with him and watching him grow these past few months. I have most often been looked on by my family friends and neighbors for pet sitting, though this often includes walks, daily feedings, and proper playtime. Please know that due to my increase in schooling, work, and the COVID-19 pandemic, I have not pet-sat for friends or family in the past two years. I am currently working remotely and completing classes remotely. This provides some flexibility, but please check my calendar and reach out with any questions. While in Boston, I received 17 5-star ratings from my clients on Rover ♥️ While in clients' homes, I enjoy playing with the toys that the pets enjoy most first to hopefully build some trust. I like to take things slow for the first couple of hours of the pet(s) getting to know who I am by doing things like playing or going for walks/spending time outdoors. If you live near a dog park, please let me know and I would be happy to take our friend out for some puppy play dates as well! At home, me and my boys, Jack and Sherlock, can often be found cuddling, playing fetch or tug of war, and going for walks around the area and neighborhood.

Darby did a fantastic job looking after our pups while we were away. Stayed in contact by sending photos and videos. Did not hesitate to ask questions if she was not sure about something. I highly recommend Darby and would definitely ask her to look after our furry friends in the future. Thank you Darby!
Darby is the absolute best with our two dogs. We’ve used her three times now and everytime she is communicative, respectful of our home, and our two dogs adore her. They even jump up in her car and want to go home with her. She is my go to for all our dog sitting needs

Dog walking: I prefer for dogs to walk on the inside of the sidewalk away from the flow of traffic, cars, and bikes. I also prefer to keep water on me at all times once temperatures begin to feel over 60/70 as I know for many dogs this can feel much warmer with winter layers and humidity. Pet Sitting: All pet sitting will occur within the client's home. I would be happy to stay overnight on weekends only. At the home, I like to follow whatever rules are typically in place for the pets during their normal routine. By keeping routine, it helps to lower the chances of anxiety in your pups while you are away and increases the likelihood that they will enjoy their time. For all visits, with the exception of pet sitting for one evening for something like a date night or birthday party, a meet and greet is required to make sure that all care information has been discussed, I can make sure I and your pet get along, and any expectations can be discussed in terms of safety and the home environment. Boarding is not currently available as I am unable to keep animals in my home.

Beforehand, please let me know if there are any allergies that your dog has or any foods that should be avoided. This is helpful during any training or playtime that we may have. In addition, please let me know if your dog has any fears (people, loud places, fast cars, etc.). I have had dogs in my past who both are fearful of loud noises and who also have allergies, so I would like to know this information before any outdoor adventures. I am not specific on any breeds when it comes to ones that I am more comfortable with. Most of my former and current pets are mixed breeds, including pit bulls, boxers, and German Shepherds, and I have worked with a Great Dane puppy, Shih Tzu's, and other smaller breeds.
A typical day
I am currently moving back to PA from spending a year in Boston! During visits, I would love to spend the majority of my time with your dog(s) outside playing fetch, going for walks, or really doing whatever activity they enjoy most. If needing to spend some time indoors, I would love to do some dog mazes, training, and enrichment activities if you have any enrichment toys in your home and some treats to provide (these are always a hit with my dogs back home).

Availability
Pet care is not something that currently fits into my routine as I do not have a pet of my own, but when with clients, I tend to enjoy the balance more and find myself more productive with my own work when I have clients to care for or play with (i.e. - a reason to manage my time better!). Weekly availability: Walking - Flexible! Let me know your needs! Drop-in Visits - Flexible! Let me know your needs! House Sitting - Weekends only for overnights; some weeknights depending on week (no overnights during the week, sorry!).
