Pet care experience
Relax on vacation knowing that your pup is safe and happy in our Hampden home. We have a fenced in yard for your dog(s) enjoyment and we will also provide at least 2 daily walks. Our rescue, Barkley, is a 7-year-old PBGV who loves to entertain and welcome new dogs into our home. We will provide you with updates and photos of your dog’s stay—whatever will make you feel comfortable and at ease! We’ll treat your pup as one of our own, but please provide us with his or her own food and toys. -Flexible drop off/pick up times are available at your request -Smoke free home -Your pup will have free range of our house, unless otherwise specified by owner About our yard: We have a medium sized (for Baltimore City) fenced in yard which is great for the pups. It's mostly flat and grassy with the exception of a concrete sidewalk and small seating area. Our gates remain closed at all times so you don't have to worry about someone sneaking out. Experience administering medication: My childhood dog had seizures and a thyroid problem which required a daily pill so I'm quite comfortable administering oral medication.
Reviews
Danielle is a great parent to our 7 year old PBGV. She was also a wonderful and attentive sitter when she to other dogs when she dog sat several years ago for DogVacay. With a large fenced-in yard (large for city standards) she would make any dog feel at home while on their stay.
Danielle and Mike are excellent dog owners and sitters. They go above and beyond to ensure that your dog has a great visit and returns to you tired and happy. I’ve been friends with Danielle for many years and she’s always had a dog in her home--I’m 100% comfortable recommending her as a sitter whether you’re taking a vacation or going out of town for business. She and Mike enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors with Barkley--I guarantee your pup will have a great visit!
My bullmastiff Gompers had a great time at Danielle's place. Daily picture updates showed happy dogs (mine and hers) and then sleepy dogs tuckered out from playing. Danielle and her partner were helpful and relaxed about making arrangements. I'm pleased to recommend them and look forward to working together again. Thanks!
Danielle was my first booking with DogVacay.com. She and her husband also have a rescue pet and seemed to just 'get' us as dog owners. She easily understood that Linus couldn't have treats since he's small. They were attentive to our pup without being smothering. They were really great about keeping us posted with photos of him every day of our trip but not intrusive with too much information. Plus, they were super communicative about their schedule and flexible about drop off and pick up. Honestly, they felt like the kind of pet owners we are which made us happy to have him with them. We're taking a two week trip later this summer and feel totally comfortable that we've found great sitters for our dog in the future. I am SO glad I found a place like DogVacay and people like Danielle. I love my dog and it's great to take trips without having to stress.

A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks We live in a great, walkable neighborhood. With mostly shaded sidewalks, your pup will get at least two daily walks around the Hampden/Medfield area. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Wherever he/she is most comfortable! If your dog normally sleeps in their own dog bed, we'll put it in our bedroom where Barkley also sleeps. Otherwise, your pup is free to explore our home to find the perfect spot. Time I'll spend with your dog My husband, Mike, and I work M-F 8:30-4:30, although my schedule is usually fairly flexible. Your dog will get a morning walk and some play time before we leave in the morning and first thing when we get home at night. Our evenings are usually spent playing fetch and giving belly rubs. Over the weekend, we will be able to spend all day/night with your dog so he/she will be nice and tired when you come for pickup.
