Because They're More Than Just Pets

Pet care experience

Hi! I’m Cyndi, proud pet mama and animal lover. With my experience as a dog owner and rescue worker, I can give your pup the kind of love and care they deserve while you’re away! In my opinion, dogs have the purest form of love — it’s unconditional. They don't care how you look, what kind of car you drive or where you come from. Their ability to find joy in the simplest of things: romping in the snow, a car ride with an open window, a butt scratch. For many years I have worked with animal shelters and dog rescue organizations. I am currently working with Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary and Big Fluffy Dog Rescue. I help to rescue and rehabilitate dogs who have been neglected and discarded, to help them get both physically and emotionally healthy so they can find their forever homes. My lifelong adventure and love affair with pets and dogs began the moment I was brought home from the hospital. My parents had two poodles. As the years went on so did the pets: cats, dogs, and a rabbit. Now, I am the proud pet mama of 4 dogs — Rio, 11 year old Corgi/Shepherd mix, two Pomeranians, Enzo & Pico, both 2 years old and Rolo, 1 year old little Heinz 57 pup. Lastly, I have two 4-year-old mini lop rabbits, Rebel & Ollie, who are litter trained and roams free in the house, and thinks they are dogs. Since I have the bunnies running around my house I think it is safe to say I am well versed in rabbits. What I love most about them? Bunnies are pure sweetness wrapped up in the softest fuzziest package. They are very intelligent, and love to cuddle. The bunnies are so incredibly affectionate. There is nothing better than bunny kisses. I value transparent communication with my clients — I keep dog owners updated on how their pup doing while in my care, providing daily pictures via email or text!

Cyndi did a phenomenal job with our two dogs! Not only did she take care of the food, water and walks, she brought special treats for them and even brushed our German Shepherd—something I didn’t have time to do before I left town! They loved her. We loved her. We’ll definitely be calling on her again! A++++++++

Cyndi does an excellent job providing insulin shots to my 12 year old Yorkie. Wouldn’t trust anyone else!

Information Cyndi B. would like to know about your pet

I’d like to know about your dog’s favorite activities, exercise routine, feeding schedule, and any additional details that will help me provide perfect care. I have a simple meet and greet policy, involving a home visit where I meet you and your pup, and see how they engage with own environment. Before I pet sit for your dog, I like to have an opportunity to do a quick 15-minute walk to see how they respond to me. I also like to leave them with a toy from my home, so that when I return, she’ll already be familiar with my scent

A typical day

If your dog is staying with me we will go for a walk around the small lake (about 1 mile loop) in my neighborhood (across from my house). Depending on the dog’s size, age and/or temperament will determine if do a full lap, partial lap or walk further. If I am watching Sparky at his house, we will go explore his neighborhood together or take a quick ride over to the nearest park or dog park. If the visit is at my house, we’ll go for a walks around the small lake in my neighborhood — about a one mile loop. I’ll tailor our outdoor time and activities to your pup’s size, age, and temperament. If I’m pet sitting at my client’s house, we’ll explore the neighborhood together, or take a quick ride over to the nearest park or dog park. I love to be outside as much as possible (weather permitting). I enjoying hiking, running or walking around our lake. I especially love spending time at the dog park. I enjoy taking your pup with me over to Harlansdale Farm to enjoy the dog park or the walking trails. And if he likes to run, he’s welcome to join me on me — up to three miles!
