Your Pets Second Best Friend!

Pet care experience

My name is Craig, I have 2 rescue dogs (Bear and Daisy) and they made me realise the passion I have for working with dogs and helping to provide the best life for them and the best relationship with their owners! Dogs thrive outdoors living a follow, play and explore lifestyle. Whilst they do cherish their time with their families in the home, most dogs spend 23 hours a day in those four walls... Can you imagine the issues this would lead to for you or any other person? So many of the issues and unwanted behaviours that take away from the loving and joyful experience that having a dog should be, stem from a lack of social experiences, stimulation and exercise. With Dog Days, I aim to bring your dog back home having had their exercise, social and stimulation needs met, meaning they are in a more submissive state providing a calmer relationship with your family and even a better state to learn through training. Regardless of your dog’s breed, age or mannerisms, each of my services can be customized specifically for them. Get in touch today with any questions about how I can help you and your four-legged friend. I am fully insured, canine first aid trained and DBS checked.  For additional piece of mind, I have a GPS tracker for each of the dogs I will be walking at any one time, so I can share the live location of your dogs with you for extra peace of mind!

Craig has taken in two dogs that needed rehoming. Bear, his first dog, was uncontrolled and Craig has worked magic to calm him and make him obedient. Daisy, his second, is deaf and the Dogs Trust could only persuade her to amble along by bribing with treats every 20m! She now happily walks and runs and despite her deafness is off the lead all of the time.

Information Craig B. would like to know about your pet

All i ask is that you tell me everything I need to know about your dog so that I can offer the best care I can.

A typical day

Walk locations always vary and are chosen based on being safe, away from main roads, quiet locations without too many distractions or other people, great for covering distance over the specified duration and open to be able to spot danger before the dogs do! If there is time during the walks I like to teach the dogs some rules, boundaries and limitations using fun games! These games help build up the dogs confidence and obedience when listening to the pack leaders. I also promote proper pack walking, where the dogs walk behind the leader (me!) when we are on the walk. Of course they can sniff and explore but they are taught to stay behind me and within a reasonable distance. When we reach areas that are safe and open I will allow them to be free and roam as they wish, within a safe distance. Of course this is all down to agreement of the owners to allow off leash walking. For dogs on leads, I can and will also teach them how to walk next to the leader with no pulling!
