Thank you Codi for taking such loving care of our Joey!!!.. I swear, he had a big smile on his face after the weekend with you! He watched you out the window as you drove away.

I truly wish I could give Codi 6 stars out of 5! She definitely exceeded expectations for dog-sitting because she genuinely treated my two pugs like they were her own fur babies! I was going out of town for a week for my wedding and was in need of someone outside of our family to watch my two little pugs. I was looking for someone who could care for them like their own family and that would give me great peace of mind while I was busy with my wedding plans, and Codi definitely was the one! -Rover Communication: Codi responded to my inquiry to board my two little pugs very quickly and professionally. She made herself available for questions and seemed very excited plus knowledgeable about taking care of dogs. I explained to Codi that I had never boarded my dogs before and was a bit nervous, and she was very sensitive and understanding to that. She set up the opportunity for us to meet up to make sure that my dogs could get acquainted and see if they were a good match with zero pressure. -The Pre-Meeting: I knew when we met up at a dog park, with the way she was so personable, gentle and forthcoming in her approach, that we had hit the jackpot. My two pugs come with their own special needs including behavior and health specifics and also personality quirks, and also, they had never been watched by anyone outside of my immediate family, so entrusting them to a “perfect stranger” was needless to say a little nerve racking. I knew that my two dogs would not fare well in a less personalized and less cozy pet resort or kennel because of their special needs, so that was definitely a last resort for me. After the dog park visit, Codi invited my two dogs to her home to check things out and the dogs immediately sniffed around and began snuggling into her coach, and even got into the food/water bowl there, I knew my two normally very timid and anxious dogs were going to feel right at home. -Transitioning the dogs to Codi’s care: Because my travel plans were a little complicated and I needed Codi to actually pick up my dogs from my parents’ house instead of directly from me, she was very flexible and accommodating in working out the logistics with me and my parents. Codi actually came a few days earlier to touch base with me and to pick up my dog’s food, bedding, treats and some of their favorite toys. Then on the “pick-up” date, Codi communicated directly with my mom on a specific time that worked just right for my mom to come over to pick up the dogs. The dogs actually jumped right into Codi’s car no problem and were calm and happy to go with her to her home. -The “Stay”: Throughout the 5 days that my two pugs were with Codi, Codi shared really cute pictures and little stories about the dogs that reassured me that they were safe and happy. Her stories made me realize that under her care, the dogs were acting and behaving the same way that they do with me so I knew they were totally comfortable and were being loved by her, and that was a huge deal for me. On top of that, they actually had more fun outings and experiences under Codi’s care than I ever did, haha! She walked them, played with them, cuddles with them, and took them to the doggie park. All in all, I would definitely seek out Codi again to have her care for my two pugs if I am ever out of town again. I really appreciate her good communication skills as she was quick to respond with full answers and professionalism and yet still very friendly and easy to talk to. I also feel she truly cares about dogs as she has two little pups of her own. She follows your dog care instructions to a T. You may notice that Codi is semi-new to Rover, but I hope other dog parents will see that despite that, she has the know-how, passion and energy to care for your fur babies.
