Hi there! I’m Clare, and I’m a life-long animal lover and friend to all creatures great and small. 🧡 I’ve been a caregiver to animals as long as I can remember, and absolutely nothing brings me more joy than spending time with my furry friends! I am available for walks, check-ins for dogs & cats, daycare, and overnight boarding. I live on a quiet street in Silverlake, in a comfortable apartment with no children or other pets. Your pets are welcome to join me for cozy couch time and / or lots of playtime and outdoor exploration! I have a soft spot in my heart for senior pups. Having cared for my dog Eli throughout his golden years, I am well-versed in administering medications, accommodating mobility issues, and providing older pets with the love, patience, gentleness, and respect that they deserve. My goal is to create a peaceful, loving environment that suits each pet’s unique needs as much as possible. Can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

Clare is amazing!! Would definitely leave Bear with her again. They had a great couple of days together and she was super responsive leading up to and during his stay. Absolutely book with Clare!
Clare was such a wonderful caregiver of your dog! He would run into her house tail wagging not looking back. He came home happy and ready to rest after a great day with his best friend. She sent us adorable pictures of the two of them and made sure he got walks and play. We are so grateful for her!
When it comes to caring for animals, I’ve never met a person more responsible and loving than Clare. She really sees them as precious living companions, worthy of dignity, respect and love. She is friendly, gentle and kind to them. Clare points out dogs she knows as we drive by the dog park. She can identify any and all dog breeds at first sight. If ever we are watching a movie and there’s a dog in it, she demands to know if the dog character dies so she can cover her eyes for that part. She loves the curious personality of cats, admires their beauty and relishes earning their respect and affection. When she gains the trust of a cat, she feels as excited as a kid who just made a new friend at school. Clare is the best person I know, and being with her is a blessing to any person or pet.

A typical day
When I’m pet sitting, I match the energy and preferences of the pet! I love to be active and spend time outdoors, so if I’m caring for an active dog who enjoys getting out-and-about, I love to go on long walks and hikes, visit cafes and pet stores, and playing games in Elysian Park. Organizing doggy play-dates with friends is a fun option for dogs who enjoy such activities! For rest-time (and for pets who are lower energy or uncomfortable in unfamiliar surroundings), I love breaking out puzzle toys, getting comfy on the couch, sniff walks, and exploring the quiet, private outdoor areas in my neighborhood. I’m also happy to continue working with your dog on any basic training / commands that you may be developing to keep their mind stimulated.

Availability
I work from home and have a flexible schedule for walks, boarding, and drop ins. I love exploring beautiful East LA and would be delighted to accompany your pet on walks in your neighborhood, the Silver Lake Reservoir, the LA River or trails within Griffith / Elysian parks (with lots of treats and water on-hand, of course)!
