Best Care for Your Best Friend
Pet care experience
I love dogs of all types and have been “nanny” to my neighbor’s dog for 8+ years, actually, it’s like we co-own their dog. She has spent up to two weeks here. I am used to playing with dogs, walking them, giving meds, baths, etc. Additionally, I am experienced at giving insulin shots to cats and dogs. I have two girls in their 20’s who love dogs, as well. Occasionally, I am lucky enough to have one here for playing with my overnight or day care dog. I work part time at an elementary school assisting kiddos with extra help in class. My schedule tends to vary, there may be some weekdays I can provide day care or overnight, so you can always ask. I provide play time and regular walks or even outings in the car, if you wish, and lots of love and attention. My husband loves to play tug of war with willing dogs. All dogs are treated like part of the family. We do not have any pets at this time, people are always surprised that we don’t have a dog because we love them so much but I do love having them visit..it’s like having grandkids! I will consider two dogs from one family, if they aren’t too large. I do a lot of drop in cat care! I have had a few cats of my own over the years, so I understand cat temperaments. We had a bunny for many years..so if you have a bunny, I’d be willing to visit it, too!
Reviews
Fantastic, as always. Thorough & reads notes.
Cindy has taken care of our two kitties numerous times for short and long trips. They are always happy and content upon our return! We appreciate the photos and videos she provides, too.
Cindy did a great job providing me pictures and updates, and assuring me that my cat Harley was getting attention and company. She kept me updated that the self-cleaning litterbox needed to be changed, and went ahead and changed it. She was also gracious to help water some plants outside that I had just started growing. I recommend her.
Cindy watched my cats for 1.5 weeks while I was on vacation overseas. She stopped by ahead of time for a meet and greet which I appreciated! The cats seemed happy and well fed upon my return and I loved the pictures! Would recommend Cindy.

My yard is NOT completely fenced. There is a hedge on one side that some dogs ignore, others think it’s a way to peer under and perhaps might want to investigate. I take dogs in the yard but never leave them alone and I play with them and/or follow them around. Some dogs must remain leashed, even in the yard until I am comfortable with their behavior. I do have dog pens that are helpful to either block the hedge or make a play yard for smaller dogs. I block the downstairs steps so dogs are always on the main floor of my home unless they join me to do the laundry. I need to know how your dog reacts around other animals and people, for everyone’s safety.

Information Cindy G. would like to know about your pet
I’d like to know especially about their walking behaviors. Do they react to other dogs, skateboarders, bikes? Are they wary of other people? Are they stubborn walkers or pullers? What things upset them or make them happy? Can they have treats? Are there health issues that I should be aware of, shots are up to date, no fleas?
A typical day
We can walk to the Locks, Adams playground and Community Center, Sunset Hill Park, just around the neighborhood. On longer stays, I like to take dogs to Discovery Park or around the loop down to Golden Gardens. I love giving dogs lots of love and attention and I’m always willing to play ball or tug of war. If your dog is up for hiking, we may do that on a day care visit or overnight stay. Many dogs enjoy a trip to Home Depot if that is on our agenda.

Availability
Weekends are usually a great time for me to care for pets. My schedule at school tends to vary but I am usually home by 4, I don’t usually take day care or overnighters on weekdays unless people really don’t mind their dog left alone for maybe 6.5 to 7 hours (usually less) and they are not destructive. I do have many school holidays that tend to book up quickly for those days that I have off.
