Experienced Animal Behaviourist!
Pet care experience
Hello! I work at home and have both personal and professional experience in animal care and behaviour, which has afforded me limitless resources to make sure your precious pooch has the best possible care while you're away! I recently took a course on Animal Behaviour with the University of Edinburgh. The course taught how to deal with some of the most common issues pet owners face. You can trust that your animal will be safe and happy no matter what they may be dealing with! I have worked with dogs who have severe separation anxiety, leash aggression, among other medical and behavioural issues. Whatever you'd dog needs, I will always do my best to help! I also have experience administering various medications if your dog needs special medical care. My dog, Chester, would love to become your doggie's best friend! We go on several walks every day and can make them long or short depending on your dog's needs. Roundhay is serene and quiet - great for a relaxing walk or a tiring jog! Feel free to message me if you have any questions at all. I look forward to meeting you!
Reviews
Having Christina & Patrick, help me out in my many times of need has been better than I ever expected! When I met them, I instantly felt my pet would be safe and well cared for whilst at their home. Christina and Patrick are an amazing team who have been able to accommodate my last minute requests as well as my inconsistent schedule. When you meet them, you can tell they have a very caring nature about them and most importantly, I can tell my pet is very comfortable and loves staying with them. As long as my senior pet with separation anxiety is happy and as long as Christina and Patrick are happy to hang out with her, my life is so much easier to manage. Thank you both!! You have no idea what a relief it is for me to have your help!!
Christina is one of the most kind hearted and selfless people I know, and she had dedicated her life to animal welfare and compassion. She works for Mercy for Animals and spends all day every day improving the lives of animals everywhere, and there is no person more deserving or better suited to adopt a dog. I knew Christina when she had her last dog, Charlie, before he passed away a couple years ago. Charlie was her best friend. They went for multiple walks a day, played together all the time, she took impeccable care of him, and he was very much loved by Christina and her entire family. Having a big family presents a fun and loving atmosphere for a dog, and lots of people to help her out if she needs a dog sitter. A dog that Christina adopts would be the luckiest dog in the world and would live an extremely fulfilled life full of love.

I have a fenced yard with some real and faux grass that we can use as a sage space to play. I also have a number of sleeping areas for dogs and tons of toys! Dogs are allowed on my furniture if they wish. My dog, Chester, is getting a bit old so he isn’t as playful as he once was but always loves a nice cuddle and a walking partner!

Information Christina W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any fears, e.g. of other dogs, humans, cars, etc. I have a small/medium terrier-mix named Chester and will make sure they meet in a an appropriate way. Please also let me know if your dog has any allergies or medical issues that I should be aware of. Any preferences your dog has - e.g. not walking in the rain, sleeping in, etc. - are always helpful to know as well!
A typical day
We can go on as many walks as your pup would like! Roundhay is very walkable, with the park nearby. However if your dog is a bit more cautious or anxious, there are lots of quiet residential streets we can take instead. I love to offer physical play time through toys and games as well as mental enrichment activities to ensure your dog has a comfortable and enjoyable stay!
