Caring for animals has always been part of my life--I have been a horse owner since childhood and have taken care of everything from one dog up to full-scale boarding barns. Along with horses I have cared for or owned cats & dogs, goats, sheep, mules, and miniature donkeys. I am well-educated with a Bachelors of Biology & Equine Science (which included an internship at a small animal vet clinic) and a Master of Environmental Management. I have a happy and friendly older blue heeler named Spur who is my constant companion and a thoroughbred mare named Chica. I love hiking and spending time outside in the great PNW. I am patient and kind with animals, while requiring my dogs to be well behaved and mannered. This means I will maintain any training standards your dog has and ensure that no bad-habits develop.
