I am a graduate of Davidson College and UNCG with degrees in biology and nursing. I absolutely LOVE animals and have three of my own (if I had a bigger house I'd probably have 50 pets!) Caring for animals and giving them love and snuggles is a passion of mine and I have experience with just about any animal imaginable. My husband, Kevin, and I would love to care for your pets while you are away and we will treat them as if they are one of our own. We have plenty of beds and couches if your animals just like to lay and relax, but we also love going on runs and walks/hikes, so if your dog does too, we can go on lots of adventures around the trails in this area. We like to care for the pets as if they are our own, while keeping all of your home rules in place so they don’t pick up any bad habits :) For example, are more than welcome on our furniture, but if you don’t let them on yours, we can keep them off ours too if you wish.

I’d like to know all the ins and outs of your dog and their routine! Wake up/sleep schedule, food details, what their normal daily exercise looks like, any special needs or allergies I should be aware of? The more information, the better! Kevin and I always think of the animals and their safety first, so we would love to know all about your baby so we can best determine how they will fit into our home for their stay.
A typical day
Between me, Kevin, and Gary (our dog), your animals will get all the mental and physical stimulation they desire! We love to play in our back yard—whether fetch, frisbee, or a good old game of chase. We also love to go on walks around the neighborhood and check out all the cool new smells, but we also know and appreciate the importance of rest and relaxation!

Availability
I work three nights per week and my husband works 4-5 days per week. With our opposite schedules, there is usually someone at home, but there may be two-three hours where they would need to be okay being left alone (I do have a pet camera though, so I can still check in on them when we’re away).
