Pet care experience
Some of my earliest and fondest memories are caring for my pets. From dogs to cats to lizards and ferrets, fish and tarantulas, I seem to bond closely with them all. Dogs and cats seem to feel safe with me and I have always been one to pamper and play! Please read carefully before requesting a booking: *I have high daily sit rates due to a majority of my sitting bookings historically being 20-30min away (gas prices) among other factors. However, if you live within 10 min of my house I can modify the booking to a daily rate of $75 per day and adjust your holiday and additional pet rates to reflect that discount. Recently I have had an uptick in requests and lengthy communications and time investment that result in owners “deciding to go with a ‘cheaper sitter’”. I am a stay-at-home mother, with a great pet sitting track record. No professional enjoys wasting energy. Please check my rates before making a request and do not request a booking if you cannot afford my rates. I am a quality sitter with a lot of experience. I focus a lot of time and energy on your pet and on meeting training goals so my rates reflect this. If you want to pay $50 a night, I’m not your sitter. I feel as though $30-ish take- home for over 12 hours of work (minus sleeping and the occasional errand) is also setting an unsustainable precedent for hourly wages for other sitters which I do not wish to contribute to. Our work is fun, but it is still work at the end of the day. 🙏* Scheduling: FAQ- Do you stay overnight for house sits? Another Rover Sitter left my dog home overnight for 9 hours. Is that what is supposed to happen? Answer: Yes! And No! *A house sitting job IS an overnight stay. Please understand that other sitters should not leave your pet alone at night if you are paying for this service* I stay the whole night and day (minus small errands I try to run in the area) when you book a house sitting service.

Brittany was amazing! Great photo updates :)
Brittany took such amazing care of my pups. She was response and thoughtful. I will use her again and again.
Brittany is fantastic. She is a very warm person who put us at ease immediately during the meet and greet. Rascal was immediately at ease with her. She stayed in contact throughout the time. Rascal was happy and bonded with her. We will definitely use her again!
Brittany was wonderful! She took great care of my anxious senior dog. Brittany is kind, compassionate, and a great communicator!

I can board small and medium dogs who do well with other dogs in the home. We can also come to you as we have many times. Just be sure to point out your pooch’s favorite park! If you forget, my little one makes sure she spots every single one to and from sits. 😂 I enjoy taking morning walks to a coffee shop which most pups enjoy (as they typically receive a complimentary treat). Portland is pretty great that way! We have a lot of fun adventuring, going to dog parks and on hikes or snuggling and playing with toys for indoor play! On a more serious note, I have a very expansive history with herbalism, natural health and pet psychology and reading body language and behaviors. I’ve frequently gotten to the bottom of minor health and behavioral issues just by being present with a pet as much as possible. I usually tell pet owners about any observations I’m making and often can offer workable solutions to pet owning challenges. On an artistic note, my partner is a professional illustrator and I have a fun Canon 8ti. If you’re interested in portraits, please let me know at our meet & greet!

Information Brittany D. would like to know about your pet
If your dog has any health or behavioral challenges or special quirks related to the breed, just let me know. As I said previously, I grew up with Danes (and Dachshunds), so I’m very comfortable walking and gently training to walk all sizes. I’m very conscious to teach a pup who’s unfamiliar with walking in a safe environment and mindful to keep older pups in less stressful/stimulating areas. If a dog has an aversion to other dogs or is excitable, I’m used to and can work with them too!
A typical day
I love to take dogs I watch to dog parks, for walks along the river, on hikes and several parks and gardens in my area in the SW. I’ll accommodate whatever your dog enjoys most whether it’s fetch, tug-o-war, learning tricks in signed language or gentle scratches and belly rubs.

I’m an artistically inclined individual working towards large projects, so I can set my own schedule. I have a little one who shares my passion for animals and is well aware of the compassion and care we expect for animals. My little one is here two weeks on and off this summer. She has accompanied me on many lengthly multi-pet sits. She is very used to working with animals. Part of my immense appreciation for the work I do is that I also get to be a full-time mom! My kiddo thinks we have the best job, seeing new sites and caring for animals all day. That said, we genuinely look forward to meeting your furry companion and treating them like family!
