I've always had dogs around since I can remember and I know how extremely important your little one is to you. I live alone in a very comfortable 2 bedroom place which is perfect for resting & relaxing between play sessions. We are only 1 block from Dolores Park. I recently had to say goodbye to my sweetheart of 13.5 years, Liberty Bell. So, your pup will get 100% of my attention. You may see some old reviews on my page around 2015, that was the last time I was active on this site for boarding. Now I work from home and am able to provide full-time coverage to any pet staying with me. As a previous Boy Scout...(dont laugh ;) I am always prepared in the event of an emergency with a pre-packed pet backpack filled with essentials like leashes, food, protective booties for their feet, blanket & water. (looking at you san andreas fault) I know how nerve-wracking it can be to leave your best friend in the care of a stranger so it is my mission to make you feel at ease. I will text you pictures and videos until you tell me to stop :)

My husband and I are new to the city and we needed someone to watch our little guy while we went home to visit family. Brian was easy to get a hold of and met us at a local park over the weekend. He brought along his own dog to interact with Captain, which I thought was a great idea! He asked us tons of questions and was very detailed. I knew he was serious about taking great care of our dog. In the days that led up to our vacation, he checked in to make sure that we had asked all the questions we needed and gave us his emergency contact. We were gone a total of 8 days and received 13 photos and 6 videos! These messages were the highlight of our day and we got to share the experience with family and friends while bragging about our sitter. He listened to us about how often we take Captain out, that we were kennel training him, and followed all of these requests. They even had a few outings during the stay. We travel back home at least 3 times a year and know for sure we will contact Brian first!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience than what we had with Brian (and Liberty Bell). We were first time Rover users, so we were naturally apprehensive. Brian responded immediately to our first inquiry, and answered our questions. We also had a meet and greet before we actually booked with Brian, which further reassured us. After we dropped JP and Sophie off with Brian, he sent us numerous updates and pictures throughout the 3 days that he had them (and, at least, 3 times a day!). JP and Sophie had a complete mini vacation, and appeared to have thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We will definitely use Brian again. Thank you Brian!

Information Brian S. would like to know about your pet
I don't have any breed restrictions but I do ask that your pup be kind to other dogs. (Leash aggression is totally normal :) Things I'd like to know about your dog... -What kind of schedule is the pup on? (Its important for me to keep your dog on its current schedule) -Any allergies? -Is the dog on a specific diet? (mine is on a grain-free diet) -Is the pup house broken? -Does s/he get along with other dogs? -Is your dog M/F Spayed/Neutered? -Does your dog mark its territory? MOST IMPORTANT -How many kisses and belly rubs is too many?
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks During the weekdays we get up nice & early for an half- hour long walk & play session. (If your pup is a runner, they can go on a run with me!!!) We'll take breaks around the block as per your instructions. Can spend a good 30 min to an hour at the park around lunch time - totally flexible. Again, dependent on the pups schedule we'll head out to the park again to socialize some more. At least one day a week I like to go for a local hike or walk. Up to 3 miles or so. If your pup isnt up for that, thats okay! we'll make other plans. :)

Availability
I work from home and have live 1 block from Dolores Park. My schedule is very easy and I'm able to be flexible and attentive to your pups needs. At times I will travel for work (about once per month) but those days will be blocked out on my calendar. On weekends I often spend time with my partner and her 13.5 year old sweet pup named George.
