I grew up on a small ranch in North County San Diego, was in 4H, and absolutely love all animals. The main reason I bought a house (as opposed to a condo or town home) was so I could have a yard for dogs. My home is my castle for myself and my two beloved boxers, an oasis right smack dab in the middle of LA. 

I work from home, so I'm always around, and doggy play breaks happen often. A doggy door and extremely secure yard allow for all day indoor/outdoor play access or just lounging in the sun, as well as your peace of mind. I send photos of your dog all throughout their stay, so you can see just what they're up to as well! Large, comfy, dog-friendly couches are a great place for everyone to crash into a puppy puddle at the end of a long day...

Being an Eagle Scout taught me to always "be prepared," so in case of anything unexpected, the vet's office is just 3 blocks away. If your pup needs any medications, I am personally fully capable of administering oral meds, as well as subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. All dogs staying a week or longer will be offered a complimentary bath with a high quality flea shampoo. I offer multi-dog and extended stay (Longer than 10 days) discounts. I also offer daycare services for only $20.

I'm centrally located in mid city, 5 minutes from USC - and just 20 minutes from downtown, Hollywood, LAX, and the west side. Drop your dog off on the way to the airport, it's probably on the way! I also offer drop off and pick up services-rates are very reasonable and depend on time of day and distance-please contact me for a quote.

Although my dogs may be a little spoiled, seeing as they sleep on the couches and my bed, they are well disciplined and obey even whispered commands (OK, sometimes they get a little overexcited meeting new dogs at meet and greets...haha.). If there are habits you'd rather your dog not pick up while staying with us, getting up on the couch, for example, I have no problem following your rules for your dog's stay. I want your dog's stay with us to give you as much peace of mind as possible, before, during, and after.

First and foremost, I like to know if they have any aggression issues. I like to know if they're housebroken and neutered, although neither one of those are deal breakers. I also like to know if they have all their shots.

I work from home, and am home 23+ hours a day most days. The dogs are free to roam the house, but most of them tend to get attached to me and follow me around the house.

My backyard is a large courtyard, about 20' x 35'. On 3 sides it is surrounded by my house, garage, and neighbor's garage. On the 3rd side is a 7' tall cinder block wall. There is a huge avocado tree, as well as a large orange tree and lemon tree to provide lots of shade.

The dogs sleep with me in my bedroom, either on my bed, the sofa chair, or on one of the dog beds on the floor. You're also welcome to bring a crate or dog bed of your own if you wish, if that's what they're most used to at home.

As you can see in my photos, my neighborhood is fairly quiet and great for walking around. It's got tons of grass, trees, and bushes and flowers for them to sniff and do their business on.
