Pet care experience
I can never remember a time that I was not passionate about animals, especially dogs. Dogs (and cats!) are very therapeutic creatures who will always offer unconditional love, and thus deserve the same. I have a background of professional dog grooming and worked in a salon giving baths + nails + haircuts (ask me about nail trims!!) for about 5 years. I'm used to all breeds of all sizes and I'm attentive to canine behavior and minor health needs, as well as being well versed in dog training through positive reinforcement. I've always sought to better understand pups so I can meet their needs with love and precision. I can communicate through telephone (text or call) or email. All are sent directly to my personal cell phone that I have on me at all times. I regularly check everything, including voicemail. While caring for your pet, I will normally first accompany your dog(s) outside to potty and stretch their legs. I try to make sure they pee and poo before they return back indoors (I don't mind poop-scooping!). Second, I tend to their food/water needs. I love having one-on-one playtime with them, whether it means running around outside, playing with toys, practicing commands, snuggling and giving lots of tummy rubs, or all of the above! Before I head out, I usually take one final visit outside to potty just as an "accident" preventative measure.

Information Bethany G. would like to know about your pet
Medications Disabilities Behavioral issues **BRACHYCEPHALIC (short-snouted) DOGS** During the summer, I will not accept bookings to WALK brachycephalic breeds (including but not limited to Boston terriers, English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, pugs, Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Shar-Peis, English Mastiffs, Shih-tzus, Pekingese, etc.) during midday - evening hours. This is for the safety of your pet, as these breeds are more prone to breathing problems which can be worsened with walks outside in the heat. Unlike most dogs with upper airways that enable air to pass freely through the trachea, the anatomy of brachycephalic dogs can present issues and hamper clear, easy breathing. Being that dogs do not sweat but rather pant to regulate their body temperatures, this can pose a big problem during even the slightest rise in temperature. It is simply too hot during the day to walk these guys.
A typical day
We will go on walks around the neighborhood to enjoy the scenery together. We will play chase, fetch, tug-o-war, or just have some tummy rubbing time. Treats are always a pleasure to pass out to happy and obedient pups. Playing with them will be as much fun for me as it is for them!

Availability
I'm available for evening walks and drop-in visits throughout the week in the Tomball / Cypress and surrounding areas, although space tends to be limited on the weekends. Until the end of October, I am unavailable Friday - Sunday as I work at a local haunted house in Kingwood.
