Pet care experience
I've had animals my whole life, starting with a couple of farm cats (a tough pet to start with if you know farm cats) Then from the age of 5 onwards, we've had 2 golden retrievers and a tabby cat! I would take them out for a walk together once old enough and made it my job to bathe and groom them one at a time in my late teens onwards.

For walking, I will listen well to the owners instructions on how their dogs are walked on a day to day basis and try to replicate it. This is so there is some familiarity in the beginning with the dog, then if we work together long time, theres a chance for a new environment and experiences!
Information Beth J. would like to know about your pet
Ideally for walks, I'd like to know if they're aggressive/friendly towards other dogs. If theres a limit to how much they can walk i.e if they're an older dog or have arthritis, then maybe a gentler walk is best for them. If they have good recall or not. If for checking in on the dog/cat, just the general what you'd like me to do whilst im checking in i.e what they eat, let them out for a wee, that sort of thing.
A typical day
Whatever activities your dog loves doing, whether it being fetch with a ball or a frisbee, I'll ensure that its a walk worth while for the time they have with me. Roath park is a short distance away from me and a lovely walk for dogs, as well as Bute park so theres plenty of options.

I'm able to have most afternoons off as most of my lectures in University are mainly in the morning, so I'm happy to give your pooch a walk before you get home for them to stretch their legs during the day!
